Yeah agreed we should have been improving, but not to the point where we were ready to take that step to challenge making finals.


Like I said, we entered the second half of the season rejuvenated off the back of Teague coming in and Cripps dominating the Lions. There was no way we were going to rack up 11-12 wins across the whole season though, in fact I can't think of any season where we've been consistent for a very long time now...


We were realistically destined for bottom 6. I remember back in 2018 I said we'd finish last again too... had we hung onto Bolton that would've happened.


Point is, there was no real evidence to go by in the 2018 off season to suggest it was a great idea to trade our future first. .. rather, it was a big risk. Sure, we got one back anyway, but then we split that one again and all we have to show for it now is Kemp. Had we kept our 2019 1st, I also don't have faith that SOS would've picked Serong anyway... he sucked at picking mids.
