Not sure Clarke would have made all that much difference, but no doubt Sewell would've saved us about 3 goals.

Even so, missing personnel don't excuse the performances put in by playing personnel on the day.

- Kicking at goal was again horrendous.

- The decision making of numerous players and not just the rawer
youngsters, left plenty to be desired.

- Too many players overcooked the ball at key moments, resulting in
nonsense turnovers, several of which resulted in North goals.

- We've looked vulnerable down back on a few occasions this season, no
more so than today.

- We need to be smarter as a group in thinking through and diversifying our
attacking structure (even allowing for North's extensive flooding today).

- Roughead needs to be much better with his shooting for goal and several
Hawk forwards need to back themselves in more.

We still could have won the match today without those players. But it would have been much better if they were all playing, they are all good players.

We were ripe for the picking today. Undermanned and not only that but the players were missing are crucial players. Coming off a come from behind slug fest last week we were every chance to be flat. The Kanga's came off a hiding which would have bruised some egos and their chance of playing finals is hanging on the next few games. Very young team who are probably looking for a break. No suprise we got rolled.

According to Hodge on before the game, Crawf and Croad should be right for next week and Sewell and Taylor right after the bye week, to play Sydney.

I am not trying to make excuses but there is no doubt our injuries are starting to take their toll.

Without naming names there are players in our team who clearly would not be there if we had different choices and I feel others are playing who wouldn't otherwise - given niggling injuries.

I also think we we have been up for some time now and given the above I am certainly not going to lose too much sleep after todays loss.

You can not for one second compare that bunch with Bateman,crawf and sewell who in the elite of the comp then throw in croad who is an AA, then taylor who shits on mcItosh and mglyn, so those outs are huge for any team and sitting 11 -2 is prety damn good.
