Rumour Noah Balta assault charges

1. This happened after the contract. 2. Do any of us know the full circumstances. 3. I can name a list of players a mile long given long contracts who have engaged in flog-like behaviour.

2. No. But we know he is there getting involved in pissed altercations late at night. At a minimum.

Bottom line is they're footballers, you're not hiring them to be UN ambassadors or child safety advocates. In part comes with the territory. To avoid giving a footballer a long term contract simply because they're a bit more prone to this behaviour is specious reasoning. He's been in the system 5(6?) years now, so benefit of doubt. I've never heard anything about him prior to this, other than shutting Hawkins down in the 2020 GF.
