It’s certainly possible but I doubt the police would’ve charged him if that was the case.

Considering they spoke to and charged him the next day they would’ve had time to get stories/watch cctv (if there was any) and there are provisions in the law for self defence

If this happened at the Ski Club, Balta just needs to use the Heath Scotland defence and claim that any conviction will ruin his chances of becoming a fireman post AFL-career. I say that because Scotland got into strife at the same place.

That didn't work for heath Scotland.

Ended up getting a good behaviour bond, a fine, and 2 or 3 week game ban and a conviction

Reading between the lines, some guy has put women and children in danger by boating too close to people. Noah has had a word to him, the guy has attacked Noah and Noah has snotted him.
