Let's not pretend they are not the most advantaged side in the comp. There's a reason they never drop and its because of two things.

1. The only club to have there own home ground stadium to themselves but unlike us they don't have to travel every second week. Travelling is 50 minutes down the road for them.

2. They obtain so many players through trades due to that in Vic they are the only club near the beach and also away from the CBD bubble. That's why they get a lot of players demanding to go to them and no one else each season.

Carlton has replaced Melbourne as the strongest sledgehammer side in the comp and they lack class and finish and nothing on the list is coming through to change it. Geelong a Swiss army knife by comparison.

Sorry I disagree, imo they are by far the best run club in the comp, excellent club culture and players seem like they want to go there to get the best out of themselves and also basically a guarantee to play finals.

Pre 2007 nobody wanted to go there beach or no beach
