At this point of the season, I get an unhealthy level of enjoyment from a dogs loss. Like, I'm sat on the sofa, in full knowledge of how shit we are, and how the Pies are going to pump us, and yet I am content. On to the presser!

I just can't understand how they don't completely dominate games. The talent on their list is insane, especially in the midfield.

They're turning into another Carlton in that they always seem to play much better against us than they do most other weeks.

Beveridge loves to play players out of position. The bloke was playing Lobb on a wing, that tells you everything. He's bonkers.

Treloars limitations were on display in the last min and cost them the game. Jamarra on his own I50 and from a good attacking position Treloar had time to compose but just threw it in the boot and hacked a straightforward kick to a Sydney defender.
For all the other traits one can have, hard to beat class by foot with ball in hand. Mundy is such a loss to us for that reason

It's not really insane. They have some good tall forwards and Weightman, good clearance players, but lack defenders, medium forwards and outside run. Unbalanced list. You can draw up 10-12 names each week that are C grade AFL standard. I would argue they have actually been overperforming to be in touch with the top 4.

Their backline is really the only part of the field that doesn't stand out. And even then if your midfield dominates as much as theirs should then it wouldn't matter as much.

In the history of Dockery events - and there have been plenty of them let’s be honest - then having the son of our first number 1 draft pick who got homesick and moved back to Melbourne be a talented father-son selection for another team when we have had only one (1) father-son player in almost 30 years of existence would be in the top ten all time Dockery events imho.
