Have you recovered from milk no longer being delivered in bottles, money left under the door mat? No longer being able to buy a sticky bun straight out of the back of the baker's horse and cart?

I'm young enough to have missed the bottled milk delivery. I wish we still had that. All the plastic on the milk carton tops drop off, even if you can't see it and we ingest it. Can't be good for our gut health as it doesn't break down.

I'm still missing the little bottles of milk we used to get delivered for play lunch at school.

Awwwwwww

haha

yeah I got over those easy because they didnt need me to pay for something that was once free.

We're a sporting nation - i dont agree with paying for something that was always free.

See where the management of the Tasmanian footy stadium project and the AFL’s role in same have come in for heavy criticism by independent (Govt-commissioned) reviewer.

Economist Dr Nicholas Gruen says it can’t be done on time or on budget- and he’s given the AFL a serve over the high-handed way it’s gone about the whole deal “as if the Tasmanian people’s interests don’t matter”.
We mightn’t have to fear losing marvellous Moose any time soon…..
Are you shocked by this.

AFL weaponised the Stadium in that whole bid.

No stadium no team was there mantra.

You are fortunate to be a freo fan living in Perth.
If you were a supporter of the likes of North or Saints, and lived in Melbourne, around 18 of the 23 games a season for your team would be on kayo.
As it is you can’t watch Freo without kayo if you live outside WA

I have a non 4K tv and found setting the video resolution to Up to HD fixed the majority of my lag issues with Kayo on TV. Im guessing when set to 4k it continually trys to see if it can output 4k.

You can adjust the video resolution through Settings:

  1. Navigate to Settings.
  2. Select Quality Control.
  3. Select Up to 4K.
If you’d prefer to keep streaming in HD or SD, you can choose Up to HD or SD Only.
Legend
Thanks

Agree, but I also reckon milk is probably not the best for your gut.
I have my monthly A2 serve when I add it to all bran.
Strange for a dinner, but 2 bowls one night a month does it for me

As it is you can’t watch Freo without mayo if you live outside WA
This also made me chuckle ;) do you have to dip your remote in mayo for this to work?

I'm not surprised it's ended up like this freo1, delayed FTA broadcasts have been getting more and more common in recent years. Reckon the AFL generates a lot more revenue with kayo/foxtel compared to traditional FTA live broadcast advertising due to licensing deals.

Kayo is rubbish for me, I'm on 5G internet but a gamer friend of mine said it has more latency than NBN. Could be a reason for the poor quality/buffering I had with Kayo where it was impossible to watch a game live from start to finish. Tried reducing the resolution to SD and even that didn't work. No issues with any other streaming platform like Netflix in 4k or Prime * shrug *

I'm too old fashioned and stubborn. i will absolutely not, never pay to watch the simple things that should be free - starting with sport. Just cant bring myself to do it. Id rather go without. whether it's our club, the scorchers or the Australian cricket team, we just dont watch it in our house if it's not on free to air. We bleed purple, but wont watch the games if they're not on for free, instead we go outside and kick the footy, roll the arm over in the back yard or go fishing!
It doesn’t mean enough to me to pay for it and I don’t like watching crappy streaming video.

Things not being on free to air is a sign i need to find something better to do with my time

This would indeed suck, but still as much as I am a football and Fremantle fanatic, I just value doing other things that are free in life. If I can’t watch a game on tv I’d happily listen to it on the wireless whilst taking the family fishing or playing in the park. Paying to watch sport on tv seems ridiculous to me. On the odd occasion id take the family down to the pub to watch it.

With the complete lack of public toilets around (especially open at night) where the hell do they expect people to urinate?
I don't know about you, but Freo has been pissing on my happiness for years.

Says more about me than Freo I guess

Glad we have Freo supporters like you over there, how many Freo games do you make it to?
You’d be surprised how many Freo fans are in Melbourne. There’s 2000 or 3000 or so at every game I reckon.

I go to almost every Melbourne based game and the Freo Melbourne gold membership gives me all Freo games in Melbourne (usually 5 or 6) plus another 5 games at the MCG pending ticket availability.

Generally you get to choose big games at the G like Collingwood v Carlton or Richmond v Essendon included as part of the 5 games if I wish, Anzac Day the only one that isn’t.
Decent enough value if you go to lots of games a year.

Get a Firestick. They'd be some costs involved, but small. Plus you won't need Netflix etc, not that you would have a subscription to them, because movies also used to be free.

Firestick is good.

I fought it for a long time but in the end capitulated
Some games I just can’t get to watch during the season and some non Freo match up I really want to watch .
Or some weekends when it’s pissing rain and freezing cold I just want to watch football and eat pies 😁
