How would we feel if they were playing, say Sydney or GWS or someone and they got a 150 point smashing amd we missed out on finals by % to this team later?

It's in population based studies where they sample door to door. Estimates vary but up to that figure have been found in highly vaccinated populations.
I have no idea what's going on at the Eagles but they won't be the last team devastated like this if the afl continue on this path

Ok take McCartin out it’s still a lot. It’s not like Sydney have been in a 7 year finals wilderness like us either. They played in a GF in 2016 then a few weeks later added florent and will Hayward with two top 20 picks. In 2014 they won a minor premiership then added Heeney with pick 18 despite him being the second highest rated player in the draft by the Dees.
They have been serial finalists whilst stacking up on top 10 picks.
You say get used to it they need support for years to come?? Are you saying the comp needs to be knowingly manipulated by the AFL to avoid sides like Sydney GWS etc not spending long stints outside finals?

I'm not saying it. The AFL are.

Their strategic plan is generational, it's not a flash in the pan let's add a team and forget about them.

They want to dominate our nation's sports market and the only way to do that is over 50+ years targeting kids and making them AFL not NRL fans.

That's where the growth is going to come from, not a 3rd WA team. They are in this for the long haul and they will continue to manipulate the Northern states to have strong sides.

Since I was a Sydney supporter (when they were shit) a long time ago, I may be biased but I tip my hat to the Swanas creating the academies. They initially funded it, Brisbane could have done it but didn't, and we're able to find and develop talent in Heeney. Kudos to them.

People still think the AFL system is some meritocracy.
