Geez that’ll help the goal scoring
Someone's suggested it's so they can fit more gambling ads in between play
Yes a great midfield, but Sydney don’t have a forward line. It especially showed in the GF when they had no targets going forward.Heeney won some games individually- not sure he can do that again, but Gulden, and Warner, if he stays, are part of a formidable trio. It's ridiculous speculating now, but there are several teams that have excellent prospects- Bulldogs, Carlton, Hawthorn as well. Will not include us in this thread, but we are always there and abouts.
They do have a tendency to go BtBtB once they are hot.Brisbane should be red hot favourites for the flag right now.
They underachieved in 2024 and still won the flag. Their coach is the biggest drawback, but that list is primed to be great.
The only way they go backwards is if they have more injuries than they did this year (they had plenty) and/or they can’t figure out how to replace Daniher.
Adam Goodes was Australian of the Year that year.He should have been a decade ago when The Big Freeze started
They been doing that for the last 20 years with the AFL helping themFirst step to Melb getting it's shit together... Will still take a while and many more steps
SANFL rule of last disposal OOB is a free against works really really well. Take away all the controversy on deliberate insufficient intent rules and keeps the ball moving quicker. Two big flaws in the game are playing safe by hugging the boundary line and not taking the exciting risk of going up the middle, and congestion around the ball up.
The first could easily be reduced by awarding a free for any kick that bounces over the line between the arcs without being touched. If you don't like risking such a free, aim to kick more infield. It works in AFLW.

The only downside is that it punishes the hit and hope shots on goal but it's a small price to pay
Early prediction- GWS Swans GF 2025.
Based on lists & underperformance in 24.
Blues and Dogs in similar contention.
I can't believe the AFL is keeping the sub for next season. No one wants it. But as per usual, AFL House is just so disconnected from the sport's trends.
That is why it should apply only between the arcs, as a legitimate attack is the lead into a pocket or flank by Cameron or Stengle, and you don’t want to punish an off pass that bounces over the line without reaching them.SANFL rule of last disposal OOB is a free against works really really well.
