Geelong played unreal last night. My BF is devo... he was up an about all week singing praises for his Swannies. He honestly thought they had the flag in the bag!

It's such a weird season. Who would have predicted Geelong beating the Swans by 10 goals? If the scores were the other way around it would make perfect sense.

What last night's result does do, though, is give me hope. Hope that you're not out of it until you are literally out of it. We've been written off, too, so hopefully we find an extra gear!

I still predicted us to beat West Coast today, but my feelings about facing Rcihmond at the MCG were that of trepidation. However, I think anything is possible now - you've just got to be on on the day.

I can't split the Preliminary Final next week. I suppose I'll go with the Crows, but really, it could go any way. And, who knows from here on in whether the rest of the games will be tight or blowouts!

Adelaide's odds for the flag shortening by the minute ...
I think this was very predictable so not sure how much was already factored in, but yeah.
Any fool from clubs that are out calling this a low standard year, should see it from the Tigers and our point of view having to get past them.

Salty turd.....

EDDIE McGuire says the voting system for mark and goal of the year needs an overhaul.

With many left in shock that Essendon’s Joe Daniher was awarded mark of the year instead of Collingwood high-flyer Jeremy Howe, McGuire said it “left a stain” at last night’s Brownlow Medal.

McGuire said there was nothing wrong with Daniher’s towering grab against St Kilda, but believed Howe’s soaring chest mark against Melbourne should have been the mark of the year.

Adelaide, because Cotchin, but really lacking interest and planning on being on a photography mission Saturday

Yeah, that's the only reason I'm leaning slightly towards Adelaide. I have no ill will towards Richmond or their fans but Cotchin and Ellis getting away with incidents kind of dampens the love I have for them atm. I'll probably look past that and put my feet up so I can just enjoy what I hope will be a great contest

So who are we cheering for in the grand final?

I'm still undecided.
Last year I genuinely had nio preference. I would have been a Crows supporter had they lbeen around in my youth. Definitely the Crows. I actually like the Tiger army and wouldn't begrudge them.
What I saw in Melbourne was the joy of their supporters at making the GF. The reason for the ok Vibe at the ground was they were too busy being happy to piss anyone off.

AARON Francis wants to leave Essendon but faces the prospect of being held to the contract he signed 12 months ago.
The Herald Sun can reveal that the 2015 No.6 draft pick, who grew up supporting the Bombers, has asked the club to trade him home to South Australia.
Francis, 20, is contracted at Tullamarine until the end of 2019 and list manager Adrian Dodoro said last month he wanted to keep the utility.

I'm buying popcorn for this

Not sure I get the blg deal. Players these days would be indundated with club merchandise, and not just playing and training gear.
If he's leaving, and he clearly is, clearing the decks and discarding it might just indicate a ordered mind, prior to moving interstate.
Not attending the Club B&F, or being told not to, much more of a worry IMO.

Maybe he did put it in his bin and in organising to move had to make an extra trip to the tip. If he'd called the press for a photo opportunity I'd agree, but it looks like either a fake, or a random person siezing an opportunity on their phone.
If it was genuine you'd think the photos could be sold to the Advertisor or similar. The fact they are random on twitter indicates fake to me. Not certain though.
