Docherty is a massive loss (again) for them. Their senior players are no longer up to it. Fasolo will struggle to get the cheap goals he got at Collingwood. It really is scary. Imagine them losing to gold coast for the spoon only to hand the number 1 pick to adelaide.
IIRC didn't SOS rate Liam Stoker as a top 5-6 player in the draft, big call.
I actually think Carlton's young talent is OK ie. Patrick Cripps, Charlie Curnow, Sam Walsh as mentioned above by TBD and I also think they have some decent talent in Paddy Dow, Zac Fisher, Lochie O'Brien, Sam Petrevski-Seton, Liam Stoker, Will Setterfield, Jacob Weitering, Matthew Kennedy and Caleb Marchbank, the addition of Mitch McGovern and Nic Newman will also help. I also rate Michael Gibbons the mature age recruit from the VFL.
Still bottom 4 although I see them finishing in front of the Suns at least.

Yeah, still young team but in a few years they are going to be pretty good. Every line has really good players they are just so young. Midfield is really coming along with quite a few really high draft picks in there.

Would be really quite funny to see Carlton and Adelaide playing off in a game for the wooden spoon.
If Carlton happened to win that game they will swap their number 2 pick for Adelaides Number 1!
Carlton wouldn't have pick 2. Adelaide would have both 1 and 2 if adelaide finished last and carlton second last.

To be fair tho, i don't think he had massive injuries over in GC, was more just off field drama. He had huge upside and could have finisheed with a Brownlow. I still remeber that game where he had like 6 goals and 25 disposals or something. Crazy good

Amazing he managed to get himself a contract extension. Heads should roll for that, what a disaster. Peter Bell was on the board that ratified that contract, he's now head of football and highly regarded by many Freo fans. Delusional.
I still dont see it. Besides Walsh, cripps and curnow it drops off significantly. Maybe SPS aswell. Docherty isnt young any more and needs to stand up.

Yes they aren't good right now but as l said in my post l reckon in a few years when the young boys have matured they will be really good. The boy they have just have too much talent: Curnow, McKay, Fisher, SPS, Cripps, Docherty, Walsh, Dow, O'Brien, Stocker, McGovern, Weitering, Setterfield.Quite a few very high draft picks in there.
The only thing really seperating them from us is that our boys are a bit older and we have recruited more experienced players. They definitly need to properly develop the players tho.
Was he (Peter Bell)?
During the trade period there was a lot of talk the Peter Bell really was not happy with the Harley re-signing. There were apparently discussions of tearing up Bennell's contract if it would keep Neale at Freo.
