They don't rate him and clearly he isn't rated by all other clubs. No takers so far.

Unless there's some off-field stuff that isn't public, I'm struggling to see why. I rate Owies, and would have him with us it it was a position we weren't already flush in.

Sure, but the pies are offering their 2025 first pick as well.
I think Noble and pies ‘25 first rounder for GC picks 13 and a late second rounder seems fair.

On Noble, if Neal Bullen is only worth pick 28 who is a pretty decent player, I therefore just don't see how Noble is worth a pick less than 40 odd but I guess its the Suns you are dealing with so they'll happily over pay.

Nah, Noble is definitely better than ANB. Far more consistent impact on the field.

Each there own, but I reckon ANBs form has been super consistent the past 2 years and disagree with ya there. Anwyay, moot point given Suns will overpay irrespective as they usually do.

Noble under contract makes his value a bit higher but yeah not much higher though.

Im shocked that Noble is worth anything past about a third round pick. I maybe get why they want to bring Rioli in, but I dont get Noble at all. I swear they should have enough players to play the half back role already

We gave up a pick in the low 20s for for a guy from Carlton.
Big body, blond hair, Queenslander who wanted to come home. Played as no. 7.
Can’t remember his bloomin name.

The problem is, nobody wants to go to Northern clubs when they are not successful so they have to grab players as soon as they show interest. Even when contracted. They’ve then got to pay what the trading clubs demand because the guys are contracted.

I feel sorry for them.

They would have feelers out to anyone and everyone. They want to be seen as a destination club and I'm guessing they have a sizable war chest to try to make it happen. Unfortunately (or fortunately depnding on how you look at it), money doesn't seem to be the key driver for most players - a good footy department and good environment seem to be better markers for being able to attract quality players.

Noble taking up Markov's spot, who they delisted and then played over Noble in the 2023 grand final, lol.

He's fine as a player, the issue is that gold coast operates in a totally different pick economy to the rest of the comp both because of their academy, and then players leaving them. They've given up quality draft picks for little reason before.

This at least can kinda make sense because the first round pick will get eaten up by a lombard bid and they will get a future first by trading it. Personally I'd be trying to trade it to a club I think will be worse than collingwood next year, particularly when Collingwood are going to on-trade it to get Houston.
