Freo outplayed the Blues in that quarter but just didn't put it on the scoreboard.

Seems the Blues get the rub of the green as well these days.
I think it was always going to be the case too. Big VIC clubs seem to have a propensity to get favourable umpiring when they look like being up there as Carlton are tipped to be.

I would’ve been pretty disappointed if I were an Eagles fan today. Thought the umps oddly looked after them a bit to well today.

Watching Harley Reid in what his fourth game and he’s already doing things Rayner can’t / won’t in 120 odd games. Yes Cam has improved but it’s still an indictment on him I think that he still doesn’t have the tank or impact games that Reid is and will be doing in his first season.

Fagan just not hard enough on him to get the proper reaction out of him. It might always be a what could of been with Rayner

The Dockers have a few young guys that look like being not just serviceable but long term gun players in Caleb Serong, Michael Frederick, Luke Jackson and Jye Amiss.

Some good young key forwards coming through, really like the way Jye Amiss plays, it will be interesting to see who ends up being the best long term, Amiss, Logan McDonald, Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, Jacob Van Rooyen, Aaron Cadman, Ben King, Max King... Logan Morris or Luke Lloyd.:D

Excuse me? It was absolutely warranted given the broken record that is McIvor found yet another opportunity to pot shot one of our players.
Oh, I'm way over a lot of what McIvor and others continually post. I just scroll right past them now and don't bother reading or engaging in those conversations. Brabs post was a far better way to comment on the continual negative comments.
He had a good half - there's no denying that. Let's not pretend it was some unbelievable half better than anything Rayner has ever displayed.
His game was more than just the stats. It was the way he moved around the ground, up and back, applying pressure in defence, and not just breaking tackles and fend offs. What he showed in todays game, is just not in Rayners capabilities. And that's not going to register on the stats.

...and yet, record numbers attending games.
Population explosion particularly in Melbourne.

Seems to be a trend in AUS. to want to go to events

I mean Ed Sheeran filled the MCG twice didn't he. Wouldn't have any hope of getting those sort of numbers anywhere past the equator.

Filled a few 50,000+ EPL stadiums in the UK. Looks like his US tour set attendance records as well.
