It's a fair question but from any of the Hawks people I speak to they realise it's a rebuild and they have a lot of faith in Mitch.

Still they're usually a long way off until they play us.

I was hoping for a Ginnivan high free, given away by Bruzzy in the final seconds. Would have been epic.

Hawks could've snuck that.

The number of times players throw the ball now has reached pandemic proportions. Collingwood have been schooled in it. The umps are looking straight at it most of the time so if they're not remotely on the lookout for throws why not ditch the handball and give everyone an even go. The only time they pay a throw is when someone gets tackled by one arm and the ball spills out of his free hand.

Oppo players got to be smarter when dealing with Collingwood's shut down tactics. Do no wrap them up in tackles under any circumstance; it's exactly what they want you to do.

Yep, they are the masters of not letting the ball get out of the contest, they just charge into the tackler as quick as possible and get to the next ball up, you have to give them that.

If we get them in a final again this season and it comes down to the last 5 minutes we need the Big O to bash the ball forward Clark Keating style and have our players switched on to that tactic.... albeit we did have a couple of definite chances to win the GF late, it just wasn't our day sadly.

Potentially a very bold move by the Cats who obviously have a great culture, but the reward over the risk is probably worth it for a club like them and I can easily see it working at a club like theirs:
