GWS were switched off for about a third of this match too. Suns in all sorts of trouble.

I hate to be predatory on someone when they're down but I wonder if they go off the rails and have a cleanout of coaches and players if there's anyone we can pick up?

The worse Hanley brother?

Obviously I haven't watched the game, but how about the free kick count in West Coast - Saints. 24 - 8 to the home team after St Kilda had led for most of the night.

Seems to be a continual problem for Eagles home games.

West Coast crowds are toxic and umpires have no balls.

Lethal combo.

I watched it for about 1 minute; saw Jonathan Giles takes the ball out of the ruck, throw the ball away in a tackle, and get the free kick. Was only on my phone screen, so I might have missed something.

Come on.

He had a poor game, probably made worse by carrying an injury.

Calling him "weak" is a bit of a stretch.
He clearly wasn't right, he was grimacing just walking around. But looking past the injury, he doesn't look fit and has checked out. Nunez's mail might be right.

Gee Horlin-Smith, Stewart, Cowan, Parfitt, Lang, McCarthy, Stanley, Ruggles, Thurlow.... a hell of a lot of C grade foot soldiers in Geelong's team that is meant to be contending. Don't think they have much left to come back into their side either.

That Hawkins goal on the 3 quarter time siren gave the Cats a sniff. North need to switch back on. They won't win this game by playing defensively. They need to continue to attack and put another 2-3 goals on the scoreboard.

Yeah they rely heavily on their ageing, albeit, well structured backline and obviously Dangerwood in the middle and Hawkins in the forward line. When they are up and about the likes of Motlop, Menzel and Duncan can have a good impact but they are downhill skiers. I'd be very surprised if they got anywhere near the flag this year.

I see Bolton has gone back to last years tried and tested of flooding back and trying to suffocate Dees forward line. Last week they actually looked like they wanted to be more attacking. Bolton might be Ross Lyon the second.

Melbourne's kicking inside 50 is terrible. They should be up by 10 goals.
Agreed although they appear to be in cruise control. Lacking intensity. I think they can put Carlton to the sword in 10 minutes if they switch on and play at their best.

Great mark from Daisy Thomas late in that quarter. A flash back to him at his best.
