lol you just won a premiership and youre still salty cause youve beaten us maybe 10% of meetings over the last 5 years.

That's enormously sad.

Everything about you screams bandwagon fan.

What's any of that rubbish got to do with Malcolm Blight being the face of North Melbourne?
Would have chosen Shaun Higgins myself. v

OK fair enough, but I would say the difference isn't so great as to only focus on North and not other sides.

True, I think your argument in relation to Bulldogs and Saints is probably valid. I'm also not suggesting that Melbourne is some sort of powerhouse like Ess/Coll/Rich.

Well this turned into the predictable troll fest.

Went from: They are shit and will be for a long time

To: Let's relocate them to Tasmania

**** I hate off season.
Get over it Bear. If you're going to whine constantly, at least make it interesting.

Don't think in terms of the 'in's North did anything wrong, they need to give games to young players and retain their high draft picks this and next year. I assume their wasn't much interest around in players with currency that were tangible to North like Goldstein so they were unable to get any more picks in. Best way up for the Roos is just to back in the kids on their list and expose them to AFL level.

If North and the fans have committed to the long term, then in the long term they will be fine. (forget 2018-2020) But as many tigs fans will tell you "I was there when were shit". And it is the penance to be paid to grab those young kids who you build around. Are their enough Arden st "nutters" to seem them through. From and RFC perspective we got through on types like that early, but were supplemented but a huge dormant base that came on in droves as the years went on. Can North get through the trough that is coming?

Seriously lack star power, have not had a player since Carey that kids would want to put the number on the back of their jumper.. Ben Brown is getting close to having that status but there is no one else.

Moving to Tasmania is a laughable idea. Ignoring that it would be financial suicide and that the club would only survive on obscenely large government and AFL hand-outs (that would eventually get turned off when it became apparent what a waste of money it would be), it would end any hope the club ever has of playing finals again.

In a market where player movement is becoming less restricted and players have more power determining where they want to be, the team based in the least desirable city in Australia has absolutely no hope of attracting anyone other than the desperate scraps not good enough to play anywhere else. Every high draft pick would serve their prison sentence in Tasmania for a couple of years and then get the hell out of there the moment they could.
Imagine training and playing your home games through Tasmania's winter whilst up in Sydney and Qld they're training all winter in T shirts and sunnies. No one would choose to play for a Tasmanian side that wasn't a local, others would be heading North asap!

A Tasmanian team would need the mother of all Cola's just to keep what they have.

never should have been created. vfl should have stuck with the original 8. They didn't so AFL should've pruned it back to that. then we could have 14 teams and a true home and away season, including a tassie team given fitzroys death and souths move north. six original vic teams, two from nsw, wa, sa, one from tassie, one from qld. perfect.

Original at least.

Football club contraception probably applies to a Tasmanian team though.

It's obvious that North now find themselves in the position of having a poor quality list and the wrong people in charge.

It's very apparent that Cam Joyce is simply out of his depth as GM of football.
One could just see him bunkered down in the basement at Arden st during the trade period in a darkened room full of white boards just waiting for the phone to ring. (But never did)

That combined with having a coach that isn't rated by many in the industry all contribute to a decade of misery coming up for the Roos.

Will North survive?
Probably - but their future is by no means set in stone.

The list is better than most think.

It's the shoddy coaching and management that sees players suppressed or sliding that's the problem.

Wow school must be out early today......

Cam Joyce orchestrated the moves of Dal Santo, Waite and Higgins all were/still solid at the least pick ups.....
During his time we have not given up any first round draft picks......
Coach under rated!!!! Scott was linked to several clubs this year...so some obviously rate him....

at least try and get some half facts before posting..

North are going to be at the hands of the AFL in terms of $$$$$ which is the be all and end all

They aren't alone but for a struggling club of 10 Victorian teams it's far more precarious

Gotta love Carlton supporters delusions. North have slashed over a 3rd of their list and are still finishing higher than Carlton. The only objective measure that they are ahead on in their rebuild is years doing it.
