Russell is a good signing.
Missed a lot of last year through injury but has played some OK football at AFL level over the years. Haven't seen his performances in the NEAFL but from reports looks as though he finds plenty of it and is too good for that level.
We badly needed more experience around the midfield at VFL level and this is a very good start.

We've signed Fraser Pearce from Port Melbourne, and apparently have another signing announcement tonight. Based on the last announcement, should be a senior-quality VFL pick up.
Already looking improved with Browne and Russell in the mix.

Alex Browne back at the club after his 12 month suspension.

Looking forward to watching the new draftees slot in to the Northern Blues in 2017.
We have drafted a promising KPD (Kerr) and a promising KPD (MacREADIE) along with speed and grunt.
Hopefully will see a harder and more committed NB's in 2017.

Sin seems to think we've picked up Piper, Allsop and Fowler for the NBs.
Big news if true, though I'm surprised Melbourne didn't look at Allsop as a Cat B rookie (Next Gen Academy player for them).
