No, the cartoon Felix the cat.

"Felix. The cat,
The wonderful, wonderful cat.
His legs are high, his pants are low.
His balls are swinging too and fro."

Or something like that.
Ya, I know. "Felix' is latin for 'cat' and I remember the jingle. It looks like I am the only one who remembers Fritz, though. It is showing my age. Careful when googling it...

oh yep/// I remember Fritz///also Fat Freddie's cat///nasty and deadly as young people today are wont to say!.

Just checked and "Felix the Cat" was a TV show that ran between 1958 and 1960.

No idea why I associated the name "Felix" with cats though as that show was a bit before my time.

became a common name for moggies - maybe your gran had a Felix.

'Felix' is Latin for 'happy' or 'lucky' and for the sake of the cartoon, was a play on the latin root of the word 'felinus' (cat).
We cover the major issues on this board.

POTENTIAL No.1 pick Will Ashcroft and likely early selection Harry Sheezel have starred for Vic Metro as a number of prospects enhanced their draft credentials in the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships.
...
The Allies kicked the first four goals of the game in a fast start before Metro pegged back the lead and went into half-time ahead by four points. The high scoring continued in the third term as Metro slammed on seven goals to open up the break, but the Allies rallied late to close the gap before falling to their second successive defeat to start the national carnival.

Bottom-aged key forward Jed Walter, who is a member of Gold Coast's Academy, booted four goals to continue his impressive championships, while Angus Anderson kicked two goals from 18 disposals and Lachie Cowan had 20 disposals and eight rebound-50s from half-back.

Allies 4.0 7.2 10.3 14.6 (90)
Vic Metro 2.4 7.6 14.9 16.10 (106)

Goals
Allies:
Walter 4, Anderson 2, Lawrence 2, Brain, Campbell, Corbett, Grace, Sanders, Stevens
Vic Metro: Sheezel 4, Clarke 2, Davey 2, Hotton 2, Jefferson 2, Drury, Edmends, Petric, Watson

No disrespect to the academy, asking out of genuine curiosity, but wouldn't this be a massive downgrade for a former senior coach who I'm assuming would still have coaching aspirations - and demand - at AFL level?
Sure, it might be. All we have is a media report, might be more than that but we don't know.

Yes I saw that too. Not really surprising unfortunately as he seemed to struggle to find the ball at an AFL level.
Yep. But still great to see our Academy players having legitimate avenues to the top grade other than the Swans. The Academy is still in its infancy as far as growing enough players for the entire competition relative to NSW population, but we are slowly getting there.
