I Don't think it matters where the game is played Milawa are going to bury the All Blacks!!
100+ points again for sure

Swansong all blacks 3rds would beat your senior side! Your clubs a disgrace to the ovens and king, Iv heard 2011 was the last year of the swan so fly away..

Congratulations to all the League B&F's.

Want to say a good note about Justin Keane. Great bloke, hard at the pill and a true leader for the younger blokes on the ground. Well deserved winner :thumbsu:

And as for the finals; if the venues are going to be decided a month or six weeks out then there are always going to be issues.

Why doesn't common sense prevail and the team finishing higher on the ladder get a choice of where they want to play?

If Moyhu want to play Whorouly at Tarrawingee, then it shouldn't matter that Milawa have a "home final" against Benalla. The decision should rest with Moyhu. If Benalla finished on top of the ladder and the league decided that a qualifying final was to be played in Benalla, then they should have first choice too. They have earnt the right.

After all, what benefit is there from finishing first instead of second?

You play a team lower on the ladder

Surely not. There should be plenty of umpires available because of the few less games this & coming weeks

bloody hope we dont have to supply one.. im not generally one to complain about them once the game is over,, but it was honest opinion throughout the rooms that whorally's club ump one them the one point victory on the weekend just gone.. easily their best on ground in the first half.

but, its in the past.. cant remember bonny doon's club ump's condition.. would just settle the moves knowing an unbiased ump would be there for those that were good enough to make finals at the key end of the season.

EB. will the great man be making an appearance for us blues at the showies on sunday? both ones and two's are playing.. bring the kids along,, make a day of it. :) have missed u this year man.

I was very surprised when i seen the score madbomber..
I personally think a club umpire can be the difference in those tight games and i have seen it happen this year a few times!! When the games in the balance they seem to let a lot more things go.... Its disapointing that it is continually happening.

take noting away from waite but he got 3 votes in the blacks game rd 15 the stats taken 10 kicks 2 goals umipire askew obviously selling cattle out moyhu way these days

Didn't think the Whorouly umpire was that bad MB. Greta had their chances to win the game and unfortunately couldn't put the score on the board. Always going to be a few people to criticise the umpires in a close game, but overall I thought the standard was OK.

A careless, late tackle also led to Whorouly's last goal (from the boundary), so it's fair to say they took their chances when they had them. Very encouraging for the Greta magoos to know they can challenge the best in the competition. It was a great spectacle to watch.

And I would assume that "neutral" club umpires would umpire the reserves if it went that way. I remember in last year's Elimination Final that Greta vs Glenrowan had the Milawa umpire and a non-Greta/Glenrowan umpire.

They wouldn't have club umpires umpiring their own club, would they:confused::confused::confused:

I think that when "12 goals" kicked 12 goals against Swanpool last season he was awarded the two votes and the three went to a player from Moyhu that didn't even get in their best six...

agree wholeheartedly with the late silly tackle by silverfox in the last minutes. gave them prime opportunity.. from our sides perpective we were lucky to remain in the game in the first half because of the umpiring.. cannot remember too many decisions late in the last or any HUGE mistakes after halftime. so in that aspect, he did well under the pressure of the game. always hurts missing out on the double chance of finals by one point though. :/ haha.

well you would think that a mutual umpire would have to be the bare minimum.. even from the benifitors side, i wouldnt like our team being asked to supply an ump.. just gives every side the opportunity to whingee and carry on more when we win! and theres enough of that going on already. :p hopefully the league pulls its finger out and throws actual trained umps our way for the feild in the two's... would be a nice change for those of us that are stuck there quite often.

and yes, its encouraging signs from a club that is renowned for struggling with injuries and such since i have been there at the very least (5years now) that we can have two sides fit and running into the finals. we have lost a few over the course of the year, people moving away, injuries, etc. but i knew very early on we had some great recuits in both grades, and some goodd numbers for once going into those colder months of june july. i remember thinking, its a thursday night, we are playing a nothing side on the weekend, and it feels like we're on top of mt hotham right now, yet somehow, we are pulling 48 blokes at training, and chatting to jack after the session, he said we are turning away 14 players in the two's this week. 14! gotta love how quickly it can turn around for sides. shows a bit of hope for those struggling with numbers, yes you may be out there in the sticks, hundreds of meters from a pub (dear god!) but greta, with only a church a crossroads and a couple of old locals hanging around, has scrounged from bottom of the table only a few years back, to having two sides in the finals in 2011. congrats boys, its a credit to you all, and two new coaches in their first years. shows what spirit can get you. and i cant wait to sing the song with you'se at the showwies this sunday, (wether its in the ones or two's, depends on how much dacca is feeling nice to me thurs night. :D)

to all other clubs, good luck with finals, to clubs that didnt make it, bad luck, better luck next year, make sure u get on the track early, get a good spirit about the club, and some run in those legs! mb out!

What an absolute load of dribble madbomber! Just like you accusing our 12 year old boundary umpire of coaching!!! A close game with some questionable calls from both volunteer umpires.

Didn't see it JB but I agree that club umps face an uphill battle, often from their own club.:D. Ask ours:rolleyes:.....I still think most of them do a pretty reasonable job and you can't have a game without them.:thumbsu:

Any truth in the rumour that Donehue from All Blacks has done his hamstring and will miss the finals series??? Another big out of the seniors side if its true... not a big fan of the Blacks footy club but the amount of work he has done over the season, would b disappointing for him to miss out.
