Lee Dale back to O&M. Saint in 2018. Tigers have one more past player to announce

Can anyone shed any light on how Yarrawonga are tracking?

After being thereabouts the last few years, they should be ready to have a serious crack at a flag. Hearing that they lost a couple of their seasoned campaigners, but who have they gained?

A stab at the ladder based on what I know about teams recruiting to date. I expect it to change each week though.
Albury
Lavington
Wangaratta
Raiders
Yarrawonga
Myrtleford
Nth Albury
Wang Rovers
Corowa
Wodonga

Lavi 2nd above Wang?
I notice you have Wodonga last, a huge exodus of players have left from what I hear. Anyone know the reasons behind that? They looked to be building

I just have a feeling about Lavi. I thought a few players underperformed last year and a change of coach may be a good freshen up for them.
Wang have lost a few important players which may just lose them that 5% that was so significant for them in the finals this year.
There doesn't seem to be any key reason for the Bulldogs exodus but I imagine it's hard to keep playing in a side with limited success. I don't think the Dogs have made the finals for 10 years. Could be wrong though.

See the Raiders have recruited a guy by the name of Sam Stubbs ,,, a Mount Gravatt player in the QAFL up here.
He is a good player in the forward line ,,, will be interesting to see how he goes at ovens and murray level

Couple more losses for Raiders. Brock Knights to Holbrook, Nick Shelley to Nth Heidelberg. Tigers have two more ex players to add now, Magpies have lost a premiership player to either work or injury for the year. Trying to accurately find out which one

Who are the 2 ex tigers players?

So 2018 is upon us. How does everyone think teams are shaping up?? I’ll have a stab -
ALBURY - Have kept losses to a minimum and added Dean Heta and former captain Charlie Gaylord who is a star. I expect they will be hard to beat once again. Mellongton will be hard to cover but I think they can.

MAGPIES - have picked up the Anderson brothers plus the Bloke from Adelaide. Unsure of losses. Team full of locals with the cream added in Newton, speight, grossman. Will be a big chance to defend there crown.

YARRA - haven’t heard much out of Yarra. Has anyone?

LAVINGTON - Pick up the coach from Ainslie who will be a very handy player you would think. Meredith back possibly. Loose nunn, Harris, sharp, K Garland and a few others. Interesting to see how lavi go with a new game plan.

RAIDERS - Dimizio is a huge blow. Have lost some depth players to the district leagues. Signed a young forward from Mt Gravitt. Could finish anywhere between 3rd and 6th I believe.

MYRTLEFORD - Argueably the let down of season 2017. Obviously lose Brad Murray to retirement. Haven’t heard much else about the saints. Surely they will be eager to atone for 2017.

WODONGA - By the sounds of it have lost half their side. Hodgkin left to the cross town rivals and it’s all gone down hill from there.

ROVERS - Young side who struggled last year. Have lost stone but pick up raven and Marklew. Hopefully for them natural improvements with their kids makes them more competitive.

HOPPERS - Had to recruit well and have. Arguably the recruit of the off season to date with West Adelaide captain Chris Schmidt committing. Muller and Mahady add to their lack of height aswell as several other recruits. Only notable loss is Ben Lloyd to uni. Big improver for mine.

Corowa - have recruited a gun from the GV and former captain back from Wagunyah but have lost some of their brightest prospects. We’re a long way of even North Albury last season. Hopefully they can be competitive.

I could be completely wrong on some teams but thought I would spark abit of convo on the page. Not long now to round 1.
