Markov had a good end to the year but the stats and data etc. clearly show across the season (both playing about the same amount of games) JFN was ahead in most areas (except, of course, moustachery)

Yep. That's no exaggeration. A fit & healthy Walker at WCE would have meant more flags for them. He was that good. He was as Careylike as Carey himself at a time when a CHF of that ability was the difference between a flag and 8th.

My point is though, that you need to give him exposure if you want him to make it as a forward in our system. Takes time to learn patterns, your place and to build chemistry.

Most of his career has been as a ruck and forward. Performances led to playing reserves, and being delisted.

He showed form when swung into defence, and that is his caper nowadays.

Unsurprisingly he can pinch hit as a KPF or ruck.

And don’t get me started about all the smug faces talking about “sellout” games up there.
We play in a stadium with a rated capacity of 23,500. Did I not see Browne on TV yesterday state we averaged 76,000 at the G?
Even tonight’s game is at a stadium with a smaller capacity than Marvel.
Bloody ridiculous.

Noble was preferred over Finn.

As much as I’m disappointed for the two who missed out, the two in’s are good news stories too.

Let's be honest, It's payback for overlooking NSW for Gather Round. This is their big week of football in NSW with the first two games of the season incl the reigning premier.

Collingwood get an extra bye during the season. More chance to be fit and firing for finals and to rest our older players without having them missing games. We also get a road trip out of the way early.

Don’t give a rats about whether or not it wins nrl fans over although agree it probably won’t. It’s good for Collingwood and that’s all I care about.

I prefer Reef over AJ, and Finn has been outstanding this preseason. Noble has had a great preseason too, but we really need to get MaCrae into that midfield to see if he is the future once Pendles and Sidebottom has finished. His clearance work can improve us even more

Howe has a corkie. And we all know about Murphy. He's taking his time to build up his confidence & adapt the way he plays.
