The pathetic thing about all the oppo flogs sooking is that in the aftermath of the Maynard/Brayshaw incident the majority of people conceded it was accidental and he had no case to answer. Once the media stirred up emotions during that week the narrative changed, ridiculously, and the pitchfork brigade grew in size. Anyone with half a brain would realise that Brayshaw's retirement is the culmination of a succession of concussions going back several years.
That's why he wears a helmet, although it remains to be seen how much it has helped.
The brainwipes over at Demonland, on the other hand, are content to demonise Bruzzy, as if he is the sole culprit.

It must suck to be Gary Pert, there can’t have been many AFL illicit drugs scandals over the last 10 years that he didn’t have to deal with.

I was semi-joking about this year, but a low level club might just do it. I wouldn't. The only way he gets back to the AFL would be by putting together a decent season or two at a lower club somewhere. Sounds like he certainly doesn't deserve any more chances. He might get an attitude adjustment when the dollars dry up. But he sounds like a creep who won't change.

He's ****ing talented. If he wants it enough, he'll work hard and smash it in lower leagues for the next two years and then someone will bite. Who doesn't love a redemption song?
