The Eagles might join North in entering the race for 13 given they'll like deal Barrass for another F1 and F2.

They downgraded but got 2 for 1 so now they'll feel even more free to shoot for another 2024 1st round pick.

Fremantle's pick 11 could still be a watch if Richmond don't let up on their demands of 10 and 11 for Bolton.

I think they still prefer to use it and get Bolton for 10 and 18 but I reckon it can be gotten if North or West Coast switch their attention to it. Hell if they got an F1 from either of those two (crazy to me but if the rumours are true regarding 13) and given their likely finishing position they could tell Richmond you can have 10 and 18 or just the F1.

HAW/CAR F1 and WC F2 would be a tempting offer also given the likely low WC finishing position.

Can someone please confirm there won’t be a H Reid, JHF or N Daicos lurking at that pick? I know Ashcroft will be at the Lions.

There aren't any prospects of that level in this crop. This draft is (theoretically) noteworthy because of its depth of talent, not the eliteness of its high end

Well there last pick 3 was paddy dow, so that should be reassuring enough.

I don't really understand why in such an apparently strong, even draft, swapping 2 high picks for 1 high pick is such a good move.

I would have thought picking up 2 quality kids was better than 1

Kaneo thinks this makes them the winner of the trade period, along with Tigers. Him liking it is not something I find reassuring.

I would have taken the 12, 14 too. Good players in the first round.
Blues must feel Finn is the #1 player on their board.

Yeah, in hindsight they should have, but apparantely wanting 2 x 1sts
But a 1st and a 2nd surely is plenty for a 29 year old.
