Hoping all this attention & expectation on Hawk's goes to their heads next year
They already love themselves a bit too much
I think they've got Carlton covered for the February flag. Might even take the June flag off them.

Long may it continue
How such an unsuccessful team can draw so much hatred beggars belief.Long may it continue
Thoroughly deservedHow such an unsuccessful team can draw so much hatred beggars belief.

One flag too many
It depends on your generation. How such an unsuccessful team can draw so much hatred beggars belief.

It is unacceptable to be a Collingwood fan of any generation and not to have heard of John Greening. It depends on your generation.
I have no hatred for them. I grew up post the thuggery and never having heard of Greening. I barracked for them against every team except us due to Plugger, Winmar and Stewie Loewe.
Their fans are rabid so that dries up any empathy I might have for their lack of success. They also broke my heart when they ended Greening's career and almost killed him with not the smallest sign of regret or apology. I saw John Greenings comeback game a couple of years later against the Tigers, but he was a shell of the player he had been and soon retired permanently. It depends on your generation.

I fully get it from those who saw Greening or grew up with that story front and centre. The highlights are unreal btw.Their fans are rabid so that dries up any empathy I might have for their lack of success. Here's a glimpse of the boy and what we lost that day he was bashed.

True but I’m of the older generation but not especially hung up on the Greening thing. I don’t really know why I hate them so much but the late 2000s era with some detestable players and staff at the time have a lot to do with it.It depends on your generation.

I was also at the Greening comeback game. Was only a kid but I recall an all in brawl breaking out. Don’t know if my recollection is right but I just remember Geeening and his opponent taking the opportunity to sit down on the turf and watch the brawl from afar.Their fans are rabid so that dries up any empathy I might have for their lack of success.
