Yes, entitled spoilt brats.... People interstate would give their right arms to have value of a MCC membership. And do they ever ask themselves why there's a waiting list of 20 years to become a member? I think they should double the price and employ a few more staff if these whingers want to feel "speeeshial" at the footy. But what would you expect from people who are predominantly melbourne supporters...
A lot of these wa**ers view their memberships as status symbols.

I don’t. I just view it as an opportunity to see the Pies as often as possible from an undercover seat on level 3 of the Member’s Stand.

I did my time at Vic Park on the windswept terraces of the Rush Stand. While I love the place, I can’t deny the relative comforts of the MCG.

I'm not having a go at you Vicky, but there are some that fit my description - entitled, old money etc.

i'd do the same. And I accept that some of these catering operations are trying to squeez profit by not employing enough staff ....and in that case, members have a right to hold them accountable. I just thought that some members paying $790 annually should realise that they're on a pretty good wicket. I think the queues for memberships support that...

Pretty sure the MCC is not-for-profit?

100% of revenue goes towards providing value for members.

We’re on a good wicket. We also pay for the food and beverages. And we waited years for our full membership.

The catering group changed a couple of years ago, and - to add to the whingeing - the quality of the ‘offer’ has gone down. To the extent that I don’t eat at any of the sit down food venues anymore. It’s an entitled whinge…

MCC may be not for profit but if they contract out any catering operations those caterers will be for profit operations

delaware north is one of the largest privately held companies ....owned by an american family...it makes you wonder why the mcc has to go overseas for company to pull some beers and serve some hot pies

There's some talk in the industry that hospitality companies like these are finding it hard to find staff to replace the foreign students and backpackers who used to work for peanuts

evidently, they're going to educate south australians. Maybe they havent been to south australia.

i went to perth hospital for an eye test a few years back and everyone there was from overseas. I think aussies are good at jobs that have plenty of meetings.

I’m sure they will do a quality job building reliable subs for us, so we can monitor our oceans, and deter threats from foreign forces like the Chin…….
Wait…

Appoint PWC to administer the sub contract for government, while at the same time giving the sub contractors advice on exploiting government contracts.

This thread has entered a new zone of creativity - almost Monty Pythonesque - could the naughty PwC people be banished for 10 years on a nuclear sub? - with nothing but frozen Hawaiian pizza to eat?

as maxwell smart used to say, if only they would use their skills for niceness instead of evil.....

What a bunch of boring entitled twats. I’m a MCC member & gotta say it’s insanely good value. WGAF if there’s glasses about FFS. Went to Pies v Blues & everywhere was simply heaving > how you could expect staff to keep up with that is beyond me, let alone be so lame as to complain about it online. Monday‘s game will be even bigger in the MCC with all the Dees members > don’t like it that much, don’t go.
WTF is wrong with some people?
What's stopping them returning some glasses when they get their next round?
