Doubt the Dons will crack a million anytime soon eitherFor the record
Pies have 25 years x over 1 million attendance - 5 of which Vic Park was our home ground.
Dons next with 16 years
Tigers with 6 years (and MCG home ground)
Blues with 5 years
no other club other than the above
I’m a doubtful starter at this stage.Long shot here but if any members can't make this Friday's game, looking for 1 or 2 tickets. Happy to pay $$
So, so hated him when he turned it on against us.I see Buddy Franklin has retired today.
He's been a human highlight machine - just a wonderful player.
A shame he didn't play in black and white.
Played his best ever game on sat. I guess they’ve been happy with him regardlessCan't believe Mark Keane got a 2 year contract extension
Buddy is a star but he is one of those players I feel were blessed with incredible advantages. Given his size and athleticism he has simply done what he should have done with such an advantage over his opponents. Players like Selwood , Greg Williams and even Tony Shaw blow my mind becasue they are small to mid sized, not particularly quick or athletic yet they found a way to have a huge impact on most games they played in despite their lack of weapons. So, so hated him when he turned it on against us.
But any other time, what a pleasure it was to watch him at the height of his powers.
A huge man doing the things little men do. The agility, the speed, the strength and the skill.
I think Bruce summed it up tonight when he said Buddy won’t just be a hall of famer, but a true legend of the game.
Anyone who thinks otherwise has nfi.
The mullet. The kid. The dream. No more. :/
I said it a couple of weeks ago, dimma to the suns, Kenny extended, Carr to the tiger’s, and port supporters burn down Alberton, it’s poetic. So if Hardwick signs up for the Sun's gig on a 5 year contract, as being reported .. does that mean Port & Kenneth are now stuck with each other? Lol.
Most of the greats have advantages of some sort. Diesel's hand eye coordination and spatial awareness were incredible and as big a difference maker as Tomahawk's size.Buddy is a star but he is one of those players I feel were blessed with incredible advantages. I'd place Tom Hawkins in the same category. A monster of a man with athleticism who usually lined up on shorter, weaker opponents and played in a dominant team for most if not all of his career. He is a champion too, but he is also in the category of "so he should be!"
Whereas Jason Dunstall was a short, not overly big man who began as a decoy forward pocket and ended up one of our greatest full forwards in history. That's impressive.
And Dunstall was one of the quickest 100kg men over 5-10m the game has ever seen. Unstoppable speed on the leadMost of the greats have advantages of some sort. Diesel's hand eye coordination and spatial awareness were incredible and as big a difference maker as Tomahawk's size.
I cant stand him either, but I think he's in the right here. You cant be squirrel gripping someone these days.Zorko having a sook all week seems to have cost Touk a week. Can’t stand that flog Zorko.
And if you had your nuts squeezed would you just stfu or make a complaint.Zorko having a sook all week seems to have cost Touk a week. Can’t stand that flog Zorko.
