It’s curious what’s worse a smother gone wrong (I only say wrong because of the impact) or deliberately punching someone, one an accident the other a deliberate act both can cause head trauma. one was drunk, “boys being boys” nothing to see here.

As for Goodwin - I still cant get over how he allowed the Maynard/Brayshaw matter to dominate his public statements in the week leading up to Melbourne's first final. Running with emotion and anger is a very poor way to prepare.

Goodwin's statements re Maynard were miserable, beneath contempt and pathetic - I seem to recall he was very quiet about Pickett - funny that
