Harryman through the middle and Houston off halfback adds a lot to our current side. Add in the release of players to better positions, Jaicos etc that again strengthens those spots. Quality depth to the midfield with Harry. Good times are coming.

And it not being a crappy IQ floater that inevitably falls shortI am looking forward to Houston wrapping around to get the dish off and kicking goals from 60m for us. Rather than against us.
Oh well, it's a no brainer if it can be arranged. If we do get dev robertson as well, think it's curtains for one of long or bytel. Sully will be needed as depth for inside mids.
The media make it sound like we got a bad deal....We “folded” to get the best player available in the entire offseason
Houston is an upgrade on Noble in the same way Jolly was an upgrade on Fraser.Yep
Hefty price to pay for a bloke who is basically an upgrade on John Noble
Yep

No, the trade is still well worth it and you’re seriously underselling Houston. He will transform our ball movement from defence in the same way Nick did in 2022, and that’s something Noble isn’t and never will be capable of.Yep

Folded? Or agreed to an equitable trade after our optomistic first proposal wasn’t enough and we added a pick that’s shown to turn into jack shit much more often than not on trade night."The deal was getting closer on Monday after talks sped up, with the Magpies deciding on trading more capital for pick 13, which was in essence turned into Houston. They had previously been reluctant to give more than pick 13 and Richards."
We folded to get pick 13
Hahahaha
Exactly, Noble out and Houston in with ball in hand fills my heart with joy instead of dread. No, the trade is still well worth it and you’re seriously underselling Houston. Exactly. There is still a chance that we could still trade for picks.I seriously won't be opposed to trading someone like Ash johnson and a third rounder to try to bring in a second rounder back.
Long averages 5 tackles per game double that of Sullivan at 2.5, and both are basically equal in clearances.I personally think it will be long and/or bytel . Long has struggled with positioning himself during a game and cannot tackle to save a life. Sully has shown his ability to get effective clearances.
Yep and we may have had our eye on someone at 36, who we are also confident will slip into the 40s or 50s.Sounds bad, but I assume the club anticipates the late picks coming back our way to move up considerably once bids are matched.

Houston is a MASSIVE upgrade on JFN, as much as I like Johnny.Yep

Pick 36 gone as well according to afl.com.au
Yeah upgrade seems light on when you go from borderline best 23 to AA quality ball using half back.Houston is a MASSIVE upgrade on JFN, as much as I like Johnny.
Dan will transform our transition into F50, and we'll be able to bypass the corridor.
Have a look at his highlights - he's elite.
