Peel have WC next week, might watch that could be 200pts.
Well.... It's gonna get ugly.

But this is what happen when The eagles wanted their WAFL squad.

I respect the decision that they want their depth and rotation and younger's players should get games.

But the eagles getting injuries means that their squad is filled up by amateur players. They are not a WAFL club that has a recruiting zone or country zones.

If they had no injuries, they could fill their WAFL best 22 with solid Depth players and be competitive.

Dockers in the WAFL are linked with Peel. It's done in moderation.

Yes in 2016 WAFL grand final, peels starting 21 had 17 docker listed blokes.

When peel played and won the 2017 WAFL grand final, there was only 14 dockers listed blokes on the squad. 7 actual home grown peel players played in that side.

2 or 3 of them that played in that 2017 peel Premiership side , they are still on Peels list and in peels best 22.

Nobody wanted to partner up with west coast so they had little choice but to field a reserves side

They were aligned with East Perth, but burned that bridge to the ground and wanted a stand alone team like the big vic clubs.
East Perth didn't want to partner with them anymore, Noone else did either so they had no choice but to start their own team

A couple years back Peel were looking at getting out too but they opted not to, really good outcome for us

Again.... I think the key issue here is injures. If the west coast eagles have a full senior side of 43 blokes, their WAFL squad would be competitive. Even if they had 35 available players, they would have 8-10 eagles listed players in their WAFL playing.

West coast current situation reminds me of when Freo in 2016 when they were 0-10 and crippled with injuries.

Again... When Freo won 3 games in a row, we only had 26 available players out of 43. Dockers started to have more competitive games late in the season when players returned from injury.

As I said, more available and fit dockers players late in the season helped Peel win a WAFL flag from 4th spot.

Eagles are bloody horrible now. I do expect them to be more competitive after the bye

To be honest, the eagles should of linked up with Perth demons.

Would of been like dockers linking with Peel.

Eagles help Perth demons become competitive. While at the same time eagles players in the WAFL get well developed with a semi decent WAFL side

Perth turned them down

You can debate on both sides if it's a good idea for Perth demons to link with west coast eagles.

Again....

West coasts WAFL fill ups are amateur players
some random player on the dockers list...

He would be west coast eagles best player right now with all their injuries lol

Should debut Williams for Peel. Playing the Beagles is basically just a reserve side and if he does well it might help his confidence (no idea if he needs it tbh).
They might want to give him a tougher run by playing him against the bye

Honestly it shouldn't really be Freo's decision.

I'm against the quota on Freo players but I fully support Peel having full power to choose who makes the side and who doesn't on merit.

Hated seeing Worner play reserves last year when he form didn't warrant being dropped. Williams did have a good game last week but I wouldn't like to see a player promoted that didn't earn it either.

The guy is extremely light but has real ability. There's no rush with him.

Because they dudded East Perth, then they wanted to be in, were accepted, then decided they didn't want to be.
Hopefully they don't screw the Perth FC. They want the world and they don't care who these stab in the back to get it.
As the old saying goes, "couldn't happen to a nicer mob of C...s".

Henry: Really good game. Ran hard, pressured hard, took the right option every time which involved some more difficult kicks. Needs to be the standard for him to get an AFL spot back. Even had some onball time which I like for some contested ball development.
Sturt: Noticeably better than last year. Had some fantastic defensive chases and acts to force turnovers. If he'd kicked straight he'd be best on IMO, terrific performance. Kicking for goals has strangely left him for the moment because he should have kicked 5 really
Brodie: While I didnt watch hard enough to know if it was his fault, I dont think I've seen so many loose men through the midfield and rebound at Peel this year and it's an odd co-incidence it was Brodie playing. Dominant at the ground ball despite a tag but I dont remember too many stand out defensive acts which is whats going to keep him out of AFL.
Corbett: Some good leads and clunks, almost a good game. Limited mark / lead player but he played his role
Kuek: First time I've noticed him looking much bigger for some reason. Threatened to completely dominate but couldnt quite put it all together. Going to be an interesting decision with his list spot at the end of the year because he feels like he's THIS close to being too good for WAFL level
Wilson: Absolutely dominant with intercept and incredible run and disposal as usual, doing everything he can to get back into the side
Draper: Some horseshit umpiring cost him for basically never being beaten. Moves so so well for his size and his disposal and decision making for his age is fantastic. Basically never fumbles. Convinced we have a player here
Davies: One absolute howler and a one poor final quarter poor effort aside, another game to build on. Always calm, getting better in the 1v1 contests and is a campaigner
Wagner: Much better game, didnt make any mistakes I can remember with his usual run and dare and long ball movement
Worner: I think his biggest improvement is the way he reads the ball and his contest work, it's getting seriously good. Still let down by the odd kick by I'm growing to bringing him in to the AFL side
Emmett: He has some braindead disposals but I honestly think there is a bit to like. Basically a bigger Schultz
Hamling: Lost so much mobility with that foot injury, still our best depth option but I wonder if they keep him next year. Fun little forward cameo in the last quarter

Did Wilson **** someone's wife? I don't get why he's out
