To be fair, Peel would have to be a hard team to coach. No chance for consistency in the squad selections over a season. No synergy in the squad. Training with AFL players missing because they train with Freo.
Sorry I just cannot agree with this at all.

One of the top WAFL squads at all levels (including colts, ressies and u15s) in terms of talent due to both AFL listed players and Freo's AFL NGA feeder academy potential recruits.

The AFL training sessions are extra (and hopefully higher intensity) development opportunities for your WAFL core squad members.

If there is even the most basic engagement on player selection, game strategy, and future leadership players, then Peel should be getting awesome advantages from the Freo link. What other WAFL club would have 12 of its squad getting deep one on one film reviews every week from high level AFL assistant coaches?

If the Peel coaches and staff have even a half decent relationship with the Freo line and development coaches, this is a top level WAFL coaching gig, only Subi is better (due to the residual cash from Subi Oval).

Thought Emmett had a good quarter as a midfielder. Definitely stopped West Perth's ascendancy and Reidy had a couple plays where he got involved outside of the ruck contests and kicked the ball long. Sellwood doing some good stuff in defence. Those two late goals gives West Perth a chance to hang on.

Moat of the good games I have seen from Emmett have been when he plays inside mid.

Voss does reflect the talent level difference between WAFL and VFL - average WAFL is just several tiers below average WAFL. So a top level VFL player like Voss really stands out at WAFL.

Not sure exactly why - budgets are part of it obviously but VFL clubs seem to do better at recruiting and developing fringe or rebound players too.

You've given some good reasons, another I'd cite is the math of it. 21 VFL teams vs 10 WAFL teams, 14 of the 21 VFL teams are AFL affiliates compared to 2/10 WAFL, and VFL I assume has basically the pools from everywhere apart from SA and WA talent wise.

That would at least go some way to explaining talent depth and talent concentration relative to the number of teams. Your reasons might be better at explaining the disparity in the absolute peak of talent (ie: an all-VFL team would spank an all-WAFL team).

Delean is so far off it. He was pick 60 after all but haven't seen much from him this season.
Delean has been developing well all year, this is his first really bad game of the year.

Yes very well put - just to clarify I meant more the quality of state league non-AFL listed players.

And also the resources for non-aligned clubs.

Finally did I say something about how Peel was missing Willo?

I disagree with VFL being better than WAFL

SANFL is for sure but not VFL

A good example is Hugh Dixon doing the reverse of Voss, currently third in the coleman (VFL) with 23 goals, he only kicked 17 for the premiers last year
