Judd was just a cardboard cut out captain for WCE in 2006. Ben Cousins was the real leader on the field. Judd said so himself.

if thats the case, you could say pretty much every coach would suck at motivational speaking.. most of them as plain as on tv, but i'm sure it would be a different situation behind closed doors..

has anyone even spoken to the bloke in their life-time? besides asking for an autograph...?

It must be motivating for the young talent at carlton to know that the money they deserve for playing good footy in future years is going directly into their captain's pocket.

Not really.

That's the beauty. Their chosen leader shows he cares about nothing more than maximising his income. The up and coming kids know that no matter how well they do, they can never earn their fair share because Judd is taking it all.

So they'll follow his example and only care about the money leading to one of two things.

1. They'll won't reach their potential because they realise they will be paid the same amount for half the effort. Due to lack of room in the cap.

2. They'll become absolute stars and whore themselves out elsewhere to earn top dollar, the Judd way.
