we had a beer at a joint called "The Classroom" in Charles St North Perth that charged us $8.00 for a schooner of Coopers. A fecking local beer. So expensive...The fact that most bars overprice their drinks by $2-3 in a job market and economic downturn says a lot.
Saw one bar charge $8.50 for a schooner (not a pint) of Carlton Draught. WTF?

With all due respect, Perth isnt fit to be in a debate vs Melbourne.Haven't seen a good Perth vs Melbourne "My penis is bigger than yours" contest for a few years.
Adelaide is awsome. At least it's not a thread about how shit Adelaide is which makes a pleasant change.

Looking at $9 plus. I told a friend that when going out I don't want to go out to expensive bars and she replies 'don't worry, they only charge $10 for a Corona where we go'. LOL.Jeez, haven't seen a Carlton above $5 for a schooner in my area. How much is a Corona?
No you haven't, Perth has always died on Sunday night.. ive been out in Perth in previous times on a Sunady and had good nights.

And during my time in Sydney Carlton Draughts along with the other low end lagers (e.g. VB, Tooheys) were $4-$5.50 a schooner.
WTF is a schooner
forget about getting pissed Caesar. I mean just having somewhere to have a beer ad a yarn even...If the worst thing you can say about a city is that you can't get pissed on a Sunday night, then I reckon it's doing okay.
Bunch of deros with utes and Japanese script tattoos with a pissweak city surrounded by mediocre suburbia.

Er... Melbourne beer sizes are the same as they are in Perth. The large size is a pint, and the small size is half a pint.On the plus side, in Perth (when the bars are open), beer comes in Pints, not "Pots".
Why the hell do Victorians drink beer out of pots?

A Victorian pot is just another name for a middy or a half.
