Howie can make a deal but identifying tallent he has proven to be mediocre.

Had a look at Howie's record over the early rounds, pass marks on around 50% of those picks I reckon with JJAW & Dillard still unknowns. Can't draft a CB to save himself though with Rowe maybe just scraping in for a pass. To his credit though, I think many around the league would be more than happy if they could boast his record.

It was.

That 2011 draft is one of the most abysmal in the team's history, and in a year when there was a decent amount of talent in the first four rounds.

Instead of Watkins, we could have taken Cam Jordan (pick #24).
Then instead of Jarrett at #54, what about 3 time pro bowler Rod Hudson (pick 55), Torrey Smith (pick #58) or Randall Cobb (pick 64)?
Then instead of Curtis Marsh at #90, we could've had KJ Wright (#99), Jordan Cameron (#102) or Richard Sherman (#155).

The only saving grace was the selection of Jason Kelce at #191, but even with the legend that he has become, it doesn't make up for all that we could have had - or how astonishingly, appalling bad the first 3 picks we made were.

At the time I was Angry Andy traded picks away to move up, but in hindsight just as well because more picks would probably have been more dross!!

Eagles WR Jalen Reagor (shoulder) was not placed on IR.
It's good news for the rookie wideout, who is expected to miss four weeks with a slight tear in his labrum. The injury won't require surgery. Fantasy managers who can now scoop up Reagor in the final rounds can reasonably depend on Reagor being back with the Eagles by the end of September. Until then, it seems DeSean Jackson and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside will start on the outside for Philadelphia. Both are worth a look in 12 and 14-team leagues.

Ertz said he'll play the 2020 season "as if it's my last" while he lobbies for a new contract. It's unclear whether he meant the season would be his final as an Eagle (he's signed for another two seasons) or if he's considering retirement. Ertz's comments were confusing all around. "I don't think it should be too hard to get a deal done now," he added. Contract talks between the longtime tight end and the Eagles came to an "abrupt halt" last week. Meanwhile, Ertz is ready to resume his role as Carson Wentz's primary target against Washington this Sunday.

Yep agree, thats the problem, no one will touch him at the moment it appears, Birds are stuck with him until just maybe someone in contention gets desperate with their injury list & has to make a move. Dont see it happening but the NFL throws up some truely weird shit at times (like his current contract) & when healthy, Alshon is one heck of a receiver. I think his best is behind him but who really knows with these guys.
