Seems to hang on to the ball too long or is a bit slow in the decision making process.....Probably more a confidence thing. Will probably improve with more games played in the North style after being so used to the Hawks gameplan.

Did the Hawks have a game plan?? I didn't notice any last year.. :D

Questionable decision making

Questionable disposal

Attack on the ball not too bad

Prefer Grima but Prepared to give Picione another chance or 2

This is the time to see if he can play or not though. Once the real stuff starts we will have a very different team. Might as well have a look at him first.

That's right. He does win the ball ok, so half the battle is won. If the coaches can teach or give him the confidence to use it better then he might be an asset.

I wasn't overly happy that we drafted him, but now that he's a Roo I'm prepared to give him every chance to do well and not just bag him on past experiences. Though doing something....anything with his hair would be a good start.

agree wholeheartedly....give him at least half a season to figure out what our gameplan will be like. It took Sinclair a year and a bit to become the player he seems to be at the moment

get over davey seriously its about time

His attack on the footy is not in question if anything he was a bit reckless last night giving away a couple of free kicks.

I wasn't keen on him being drafted but maintain faith in the decision makers and happy for him to get an opportunity.

On the initial post in this thread, I hope it is NOT at the expense of a Blake Grima.

Get "over" him ? Were we ever "under" him ?

I was just using Davey as an example to illustrate the point that an untried youngster, possibly from VFL level, should have been drafted instead of Piciaone. Or perhaps re-drafting Jeremy Clayton. His axing is still a mystery to me.

I saw about 27 Hawthorn games last season, including praccy matches and such and no - there was nothing that bared resemblence to a game plan.

He should be given time. I liked the fact that he was prepared to go and win the ball, and he is a player with a useful body size. However, as others have posted, his decision making is questionable. I reckon he may be trying too hard to impress, but he should be given time to settle. I wasn't really sold on his recruitment, but I reckon it's a bit harsh to give him the Calthorpe treatment after just two matches.

Whilst he lacks alot, I always thought he had a fairly good footy brain whilst at Hawthorn, so jitters might have contributed to poor decisions.

Less time at Glenferrie Rd hairdressers looking pretty...
More time training at Arden St.

Shave his head.

I wonder if his mum likes that hairstyle.

Two games is too early to make bold statements, but at full strength during the season (only four on the bench) I think he will find it difficult to squeeze in front of Rawlings, Stevens, Spud etc.

I just don't rate him. I never liked him, but the change of jumper changes ones opinion of a bloke, but not the footballer.

He has a dip, but his hands are poor, he is slow and his skills are not quite up to it. He was given a fair run in the middle last week, and I wish Grima was given that chance.

WTF is or was that on his head?

Looked like the pelt of a dead rodent sitting on top of his noggin. A squirrel skin perhaps?

And Shagga - obviously your hairdresser has a sick sense of humour and failed to offer the mirror to give you a squiz at the back of your head before leaving the salon.

Lose it son.

Is all this tomfoolery & shenanigans with the hairdos the price we pay for recruiting 2 Hawks to Arden Street?

What's next - Sav off to the beautician for a back, crack & sack? Or perhaps a perm for Arch?
