Not who I wanted, but the way the draft shaped, the players I liked ahead of him all went earlier anyway. Still looks a nice talent, powerful hybrid mid / fwd who should be able to impact at AFL level. Happy enough here considering, back him in!

Reminds me a little of Jake Stringer, is that a crazy comp?

Welcome Cooper ‘Ketchup’ Hynes

Seems like a ripper kid from the interviews and although he isn’t exactly who I’d have liked

I can’t wait to see what he can do

In the modern era, speed is maybe the most damaging trait a player can have. You can't train someone to be faster either, we already have a one paced midfield and the last thing we need is another slow midfielder.
How about give the kid a go. I remember people on here bagging the Bont pick.

Announcement 1 maybe you missed watching our last final as our current midfield got beaten up forgot how slow our midfielders are they got smashed that day in clearance Announcement 2 if you havent got the ball doesn't matter how fast you can run unless your chasing somebody :)

Is De Goey a fair ‘best case’ style comparison?
No, de Goey is genuinely quick but had character concerns. Hynes is a co-captain and very strong but with genuine goal sense. Petracca in moccasins might be a fairer description.
