This is what I'm hearing around the traps but don't take it a gospel as usual.

Strathy - A few leaving for Numurkah but being replaced with Tarrynt Neville, Tommy Campbell and the Roberts brothers from Cobram.
Still contending

Waaia has lost Thompson and summerville while picking up Leighton Daly

Katandra losing cook to QLD, Fernedez to Mulwala and Ryley Shannon due to banner. Bailey Bell from Nathalia incoming

Tungamah to regain most of their list which has taken pay cuts to top up with a few yarrawonga stars

Hazleman to continue coaching Katamatite while retaining their list and adding Ben Bray, Jack Gerrish from Wang rover which was announced on Facebook today

Berrigan losing their coach due to personal reasons, need to be quick on a replacement for recruiting

Jerilderie to recruit well and rise back up the ladder

Yet to hear anything out of Yarroweyah around committee/ coaching

Anyone else hearing anything different?

I had heard different about Katamatite losing coach and stars , but it is silly season!!,
Bailey Bell to Katandra is huge , he is a gun and could set this league alight! He might bring some talent with him also . Leighton Daly big in to a proven Waaia.
With Waaia and katandra mainly keeping list and adding talent , I will go early and say they will be fighting it out at the pointy end again.

Not sure if he will bring any talent with him, Nathalia do a good job of holding onto their local talent.
I know Bailey has shopped himself around before but the prices were insane even considering his talent, katandra obviously think it's worth it if he is the missing piece

Shops himself around then leaves mid season or before the season even starts

Two questions:

Does the league AGM get advertised, open to general public attendance, or only open to the board members and club delegates?

There was talk early in the season this was the ops manager final year, is a replacement going to be forthcoming or has the contract been renewed, again?

AGM’s of organisation in most cases if not all, are restricted to member representatives and the board.

Not sure all would agree with this sentiment.
Hopefully there would be some sort of requirement to either outsource or upgrade socials presence, especially when you look around the traps at the fantastic job so many clubs within the league have and are doing and that all from VOLUNTEERS as opposed to a paid employee
That would be "a good result for the league and it's constituents"
And the original question would not have needed to be asked ..... mixed emotions

Maybe ‘ social media ‘ isn’t the priority that you think it is or should be , el.
Community football and netball clubs serve as place for people to engage directly ‘ in person ‘.
You clearly would prefer to be informed without needing to engage , which is most certainly your choice , however it’s your choice as it is others to respect direct engagement.
Sure in situations like the AFl competition itself where it obtains a majority of its income and engagement from tv rights ‘ viewing without attending ‘ social media is of high priority.
Leagues who have placed social media presence as a high priority not surprisingly have seen decreased direct engagement . Fancy that !
It’s also not uncommon at club level .
The PDFNL’s interest might be sustainability of its own clubs and community engagement rather than increasing those sitting at home viewing social media to see what is happening locally whilst watching AFL games .
If you wish to know more of what is occurring get more involved / attend matches , join your locally clubs executive or directly ring and ask .

You make some very good points here but think you have missed the point.

Not always can people make it to games in person for a large range of reasons from various other commitments, work, health, location etc etc etc, and still want to feel involved with 'their' club and 'their' league and the various platforms provide that option and can fill the gap and keep people connected and engaged if only in absentia.
Such things as timely updates on game scores for all grades should be considered a bare minimum requirement or expectation, and before you say this does occur each week, please admit (if only to yourself) that wasn't the case this last season and was pointed out/questioned/requested by several posters throughout the year.

What ever happened to the new and improved and updated league website that was meant to be coming?
That would be a good starting point surely. Fill in the gaps in the history section. Find a way to get missing information and season linked in. Update the GF winners and B+F etc.

Everyone these days knows that good access to good social media options is simply a sign of a good well run league which wants to engage as many people as far and wide as possible in order to keep as positive and high as possible profile for promotion and engagement - not deter people from actually going to games (where and when they can) but actually the opposite.

Not sure why you are so defensive about this issue being asked tbh?
