Based purely on the last 2 weeks, Gault doesnt deserve a spot next week.
Caff also goes missing

Once again, I know that he plays with so much guts and always gets involved, but Blair still falls short in my eyes. Always gets close to producing something for the team but either fumbles, gets his snap kick smothered or misses a simple target.
How can Caff go missing when he's never there?
Blair, agree, enough already, he's just short of a better player. Tries hard but no score board impact.

Gault was upgraded as a nominated rookie...effectively becoming our 40th player on our list.
We have not used LTI as yet...we have 2 open slots (Schaz & Swan).
However, we will only upgrade when a rookie is in line for senior selection, which isn't the case at the moment.

Rookies remaining: Smith, Golds, Cox & Wyatt
Yes, that's correct.
Suggest that if there is to be an upgrade only Smith and Cox will be considered at this stage.

Yes, Phillips, forgot about him.
I'd rather give him an opportunity than either of Macaffer or even Blair.
Sorry everyone but I just can't get the Blair thing,I've tried, I like his efforts but just comes up short for me.
Limited foot soldier.

I initially thought that we had better options than Blair, but think that he holds his own on the field. Not a stand out, but gets some important touches on the ball. Until Broomy or others can earn their spot ahead of him, I'd play him.

I don't think we can carry Caff. He may play one good game in five, but we have other players who can offer more going forward.

Judging by your comments last night (thanks for moron comment) you are much happier with the standard of our play than me. Imo, we are fumbling, indecisive and unorganized. Melbourne and St Kilda are 50/50 whilst I can't see the bombers winning a game.

Well maybe the bombers will win one

I'd actually throw Cox in instead of Gualt. Couldn't possibly do any worse.

The Saints will destroy the Pies midfield clearences and centre hitouts as it is.

I would also like to see Cox get his chance against the Saints. Don't think it will happen just yet though.

Scotty Burns better have his head down all weekend and work out our midfield. We can't keep getting smashed in clearances, if you lose the clearances more often than not you'll lose the game, and we haven't just been losing, we're getting completely smashed. We need to work out our best combination, and work out our best lock down when the gates are open.

Need to play both rucks as individually, they haven't been any good, but together, we might get one decent player out of the two out there.
That's my thinking too, one half ruck doesn't look good, so many two half rucks put together may equal one whole ruck (if you get what I mean).

Bucks was talking about Grundy today on 3AW, shocked to hear how underdone he is/was coming into round 1 and that's the reason why he wasn't picked, so he should get better every week from now on.

Play them both, see how it goes.
