Interesting with Bernie, he had most of his success from age 30 yrs old and onwards. Good player. One of only two players in the history of the VFL/AFL to win both the Brownlow medal and Coleman medal (Lockett the other one)

One of the reasons why I posted this table was that we could all chat and reminisce about these players from the past as well as current ones (only Hawkins).

It just takes the pace off things because at times it gets a bit hot in the kitchen with debates etc and we should all just step back and relax...well this thread can be the perfect thread to step into and talk about these players.

The list will update and grow overtime so I'll have to take care of that which is fine.

Actually Kelvin Templeton was the first to complete the double, with Colemans in 1978 and'79 and the Brownlow in '80.
Blighty won his Brownlow in '78 but waited until '82 for the Coleman.
Lockett the only player to win both in the same season.

Probably the most versatile player I've seen, (along with Goodes, who was more versatile as a tall midfielder who rucked and ran the flanks, whereas Pav was KPF, KPD, and could run in the middle). 700 goals as a genuine utility is freakish.

They don’t want to do that because the great Ken Farmer outshines them.
It’s a travesty he doesn’t have legend status but Dunstall does.
Kicked 100+ 11 years in a row
Kicked 81 in 17 games representing the state against the best VFL and Wafl players.
