That was one of my creations, ironically Sony didn't like that trophy at all. It initially started as "Watch the credits" but they wanted some physical interaction with the game in unlocking a trophy (they don't like the "Bonestorm" YOU GOT SOMETHING FOR DOING NOTHING! stuff). So that's why it was a thing to defeat the Big Ant team THEN watch the credits.

Also, in a few words how are achievements actually triggered? In my casual experiences with Unity and UE4 I’ve never actually seen it (haven’t actually gone looking for it either mind you). Is it some special API you get in the dev kits?

Yeah both systems have their own ways of calling to achievements/trophies. Sony has an application, Xbox has a website. Basically you set the trigger up in code then reference that to the trophy/achievement id. Their specific systems then get folded into your build process.

You can definitely fight it with them, I'm sure in Deadpool's case they said it works with the theme of the game.

On the TellTale one's, I actually think that one of the platform holders must have cracked down, as they eventually made them far less "automatic". Missable requirements became a thing from The Wolf Among Us? I think.

Obviously it was a few years ago now, but if I recall correctly they didn't really even like us doing the workaround for that specific trophy. Which killed it pretty quickly (RLL3 also had a view credits - with no other requirement - it was going to be an every game thing for us).

Fallout 4, FIFA 17 & PES 2016 are my top 3 apparently. My rarest trophy is Photo Bomber off Fallout 76.

lmao my rarest is double chance AFL Evolution, i think that's finish top 4, the video says 19,000 other people have it. which means 20k Aussies are probably like me - dominated a season, knew they should up the difficulty cos it's too easy, but the next difficulty up is too hard

Yeah my first game part was wrong too, it said it was NHL 16 when I know for a fact the first game I played was NBA 2K16.
