Could handle losing if we at least were competitive but we weren’t remotely.
That was a coach killer and career ender.
Let’s stop dreaming that we’re one player away from landing boak and gray a cup. We’re not. A player can’t fix what is wrong here. Ditch the coach. Sunset the senior players and develop the next gen.

Tough calls have to be made, but we all know that normal programming will resume on the first day of preseason.
This is the time to be ruthless, we either go the Geelong route of close, but no cigar, or we keep the core of a good young group for a coach who can coach.
Obviously required changes:
Jonas out as Captain, Wines Captain.

Motlop - again the one good final a year
Gray was noticeably down this year. If Ken is here next year he might as well retire, in 2 years he's not going to be up to part of the side. If Ken goes, he's got enough in the tank for one last crack under a new coach.
Lycett is not a premiership grade ruckman (he was carried by the West Coast midfield in their flag). He must be backup to Hayes / Ladhams next year. Persisting with him as first choice ruck is going to just lead to him failing to stand up in the big games yet again.

Had every possible advantage and played like a side that thought they just had to walk out there to win. Very disappointed for Boak and Gray, will be difficult to bounce back next year and then it will be rebuild time.
Eh a lot of finals mental toughness is something that you're born with.
Very concerned with this group.
