I think Short is a bit like Miles, if they don't make it, it won't be for lack of effort. Reckon Short has been proving coaches and such wrong his whole career, even though I'm like you, just doesn't seem big or strong enough. He does have a good shoe on him though which makes up for a lot.

Could he be Morris's replacement? Defensive back then attacking with his kick. Very good off both sides....

Short is one of the fittest players at the club and has a huge work ethic, proven by the size he has added whilst improving his endurance.

I said it when he was drafted that his foot skills reminded me of a Sam Mitchell. Could he go into the midfield for spurts from defence in future???

RICHMOND has used its intraclub match on Thursday to trial a smaller forward line, with Ben Lennon kicking four goals as he pushes his case for senior selection in 2017.

I'd be a little wary of this report for the moment - from my view (which admittedly was blocked by posts in the Grandstand at times), I had Dusty down for just the one goal, with Townsend possibly confused for the other two. I also had Riewoldt down for 4.2. The game was three 20-minute thirds with a break at the ten-minute mark of each. A lot longer than we had anticipated, so the footage is taking a while to get online - once it's up there, it should reveal all.
