Someone at West Coast does not believe in ankle strapping apparently. Heard it on the podcast in the last year or two. Doesn't promote natural ankle strength. Of course they will strap if there has been an injury, though.

Not sure if that person still works there.
That's not a new thing. That debate has been raging for years, and it really actually does have merit, particularly in developing athletes.

Didn’t see a whole heap of him, though he seemed to always be on the team with our first choice mids. Reckon the club rates him pretty highly.

Were you able to get into the ground to watch or forced to peer through the chain mesh fence?

Any others there besides media

The club makes it really hard to watch closed sessions. Either you’re peering though a gate and can only see half the field or you’re watching through fence and mesh

I spent about an hour watching from the mesh and the fence on the Perth FC side of the oval, where the mesh was more see through and there were gaps in it.

Towards the end I looked to see if there was a better spot and I wandered into the Perth FC parking lot where a few other people were watching from. Great view of the ground there but not sure if it’s allowed - gate was wide open though and nobody told me I couldn’t be there so 🤷‍♂️

There were a few media guys just inside the gate, no cameras though. A couple of fans were peering through the closed gate when I looked.

Interesting that Benny C gets to watch on though.

Yeah once the development and fencing was completed it’s difficult to watch if they don’t have the eastern gates open

Hoped that maybe they’d changed but obviously not

Not a fan?

Nah no problem at all, mainly Dark Sharks getting all worked up about how he knew he was getting drafted by Simmo yet still got excited on the coverage and calling him a phoney. I'm actually super bullish about him and think he's a steal with Ginbey.

So I take it Stocksy uses 'under notice' as a description of being closely monitored, not as using the incorrect phrase for being 'on notice' when you're told you need to lift your game.

I have heard from a couple of reputable sources that ankle strapping puts more stress through the knee and can increase the likelihood of serious knee injuries...

Here it is 🤩

It’s up there with laconic as far as nonensical footyisms go. Except at least laconic is a word - under notice means absolutely nothing.
