I have heard from a couple of reputable sources that ankle strapping puts more stress through the knee and can increase the likelihood of serious knee injuries...

I agree with this.
Dislocated my ankle in my first year of senior footy which put me out for half a season. When I came back I always strapped it heavily. When I did my ACL coming down from a marking contest a year or two later, I was certain that having that ankle strapped so rigid didnt allow my leg to buckle properly so popped the knee. Never know of course but I reckon it played a big part in it.

Can you just not watch from the community oval?

Not really. The way the two grounds are setup you can’t see much from the community oval without actually going onto it and standing where the two ovals meet. That spot also happens to be where the club move between the two ovals and they keep people away from there

It really is a coin toss between him and Williams as second ruck at the moment

This is what I mean when I say At least Jamo is competitive. He tries to be involved in the game with repeat efforts. Jamo doesn’t have the the athletic abilities or talent of Williams but his work rate is whats needed. Would actually help our talls a lot if he can produce this sort of role

The Witherden comment is weird. Not that i am necessarily a big fan of Witherden, but that kind of semi negative comment might be OK coming from the media itself when a player plays poorly, but i don't think the club's media department itself should be saying things like that about individual players. Especially a non - senior player, in fact a fringe player, fighting for his career and who is probably low on confidence as it is.

I think you have half of this right.
Jamo is less athletic overall (but no slouch) than BW but I believe he has more talent and is the better natural footballer, as well as being more competitive.
