WCE under 10pts i reckon.

The pressure is really on Norf to win this game. They bring in the big cahuna in the coaches box, and its their home game against a side who was god flipping awful last year.

I peg us to win 6-10 games this year. The more fit and injury free our older players are the more wins we could achieve.

Petch’s injury is only an ankle sprain.

Ledwards has injured his quad, only jogged laps at training today.

Both only likely to be limited for a few weeks.

According to the article, Rhett Bazzo and Jordyn Baker were the only others to miss the main training session. I assume this means Harry Barnett is back training with the main group.

Chesser also apparently participated in most of today’s session.

Its a bit off topic here, but i was thinking back to when Nic Nat got suspended for tackling Karl Amon, because "he should have calculated the weight differential", apparently. And i can't think of an example, no matter the size disparity or nature of the tackle, where the tribunal has used "weight differential" as due cause to issue a suspension since. Or before for that matter. Mumford used to smash guys most weeks and this was never an issue to warrant suspension more often then not

Precedence plays a big part in legal decisions and due process, so i still fail to see why a legal tackle, that has no former tribunal precedence, was able to stick

And don't even get me started on Amon's "delayed concussion". Whereby he played the remainder of the game and then that medical report was, in part, used to sink us at the judiciary

I would love for us to use the same "delayed concussion" in our medical report one day to return the favor for Port

Oh, and Michael Christen is a dickh*ad

It might be a bit off topic, but I was just thinking back to when Tony Evans soccered through a rushed behind against Carlton in the early 1990s but Greg Williams claimed it as a goal, it was paid and they won by a couple of points.

I would love for us to get one back on Carlton for that.

Oh, and **** Diesel Williams.

That literally made me hate Carlton as a kid and I have disliked them ever since. Will forever associate that grub with the Carlton monogram

On topic... play on.

It’ll be interesting to see who out of Jones / SPS / Long stands out most in our preseason games for a round 1 spot.

Bit to like from that article

Re SPS

He stood out in Monday's sessions, which included some match-scenario play with reduced numbers, with his ferocious tackling as the Eagles look at their options for a new small forward.

Chesser doing some competitive work

Prized youngster Campbell Chesser moved into some competitive elements of training on Monday having being held back

And three things we’d like to see

Some highlights of the session included draftee Elijah Hewett's evasiveness and poise in traffic, midfielder Tim Kelly's strength fending off tacklers, and the stoppage work of big-bodied midfielder Jai Culley.
