**** that's raw. Thoughts obviously with the family, hard to imagine the pain they are going through right now. Really feels like there hasn't been much good news this year.

That would actually be a good diagnosis at this stage compared to syndesmosis. A fracture in the ankle can actually be a quicker heal than something serious related to soft tissue damage. Could be return to sport 8 weeks-ish if a straightforward oneHearing Darling may have a hairline fracture in his ankle and is looking at ~12 weeks out at this stage. Not ideal at all.
So what’s the go if we sign Alec Waterman and then Jack gets back from injury after 8-10weeks? is then Alec placed on the inactive list?, like I don’t doubt by that time we’d most likely have another long term injury but what would happen if we have a clean run?
So his teammates can share in some of that clunge he's knee-deep in?Why the * would we draft Alec Waterman?

* sake, the deja vu feeling is getting stronger.

I'd say if we sign Alec then folding the club is a definite possibility. He's just not what we need right now (and doesn't at all replace JD).
Assuming JD is an 8-10 week injury, with 4.5 weeks until our first game - he's back around round 6 or so. It's not worth taking a SSP player in that instance, as we have sufficient cover for a few rounds.

If we place Darling on the inactive list in order to take a player as a SSP selection before tomorrow’s deadline we would only be able to bring Darling back if someone retires or is made inactive due to long term injury
It’s why I very much doubt we’ll add anyone tomorrow as it would be a rushed decision. Much better to wait until the mid season draft before adding anyone of there’s a spot available at that time

Punctured lung!
FFS. Really!
Hahah who else would we sign the deadlines tomorrow?
We would only get two cracks if there’s a retirement or another LTI before the mid season draftAll depends if we want two cracks.
One now and another Culley type bolter mid season.
But right now we don't have anyone training with us apart from Alec and he would likely be there mid season with a 2nd pick anyway.
So yep. Think we keep the powder dry and reassess mid year.
