Honestly how many games do people expect Nic Nat to play this year?
Great to hear we are just a bit of synergy away from awesomeness, I’m felling very comfortable now………..aaaahhhhhhh!

10-15?

I'm guessing 8. Will be moved onto the rookie list next year and be our ruck coach.

Sure, I was critical of him also. He was a liability to himself injury-wise, and that was borne out. Simmo said he was played through his injury because at some stages there was nobody else or the playing list was so depleted.
In other words, there wasn't anyone else available (according to his coaching standards?)
So this stuff about credits is sometimes far off the mark.
But there were so many contributing factors in that 'perfect storm' we had to endure, both on field and on BF, as often happens, facts get blended with fiction..if something gets repeated often enough on BF, it almost becomes gospel...
If gaff was injured I'd rather a top up player come in and give 100%

I think it will be 26 with the Gather round this year.

Will win his last 3 games and retire after kicking the match winner after the siren

He’ll miss one match through suspension after failing to properly calculate the weight of an opponent he’s tackling.

$1500 for assault is bonkers. Feel bad for the victim

What about $2500 for assault with a deadly weapon (Tyre Iron to the head twice) after texts telling you they are coming to kill you. All whilst on meth, drunk and driving an unregistered car without a licence. All with priors.

I had never met or talked to the guy either, He was just trying to get a female tennant at one of my houses to hop into a car with him in the middle of the night and drive to perth (she called me, scared out of her brain). I texted him back telling him as the owner of the house please not to come there as entering the property would be trespassing and he was scaring people. Then I get all the texts and threats back.

For the general public out there, he went about 4 weeks before he rocked up at his Ex Mrs house again drunk and on meth in the same unregistered car and beat the living shit out of her before leaving. Now spending a few years in the big house.

Now I provide a statement to police, as does another guy, a neighbour and the girl. None of us ever get any mention of a court date or anything and just find out through others what he got. The court system is a joke.

On Culley... (and i really have high hopes for this kid) being at the game last week and watching how he went, if you ignored the pre-season hype;
He looked like someone who either wasnt mentally checked in, couldnt be bothered, or was really just struggling and not good enough in those 1st 2 periods.
To add fuel to this, what other reason would he be rested for period 3 and 4, told to keep warm and then play period 5 and 6, for any other reason than the coaches said that was sh*t, you're in the 2's now.
He clearly wasnt injured and they werent managing his time or they would have told him to put the tracksuit on after a half.

I love that he wants to get the best out of himself and be number 1 and we can all see he trains hard, but if he cant push through being number 4,5 or 6 in the pecking order at the moment, until he builds credits, his afl career will be very short.

I hope there was some method to Simmos madness with him last week and it was a coaching reason, but he didnt pass the eye test. And now not named?

Maybe the first two periods he was focusing heavily on doing a specific role and this impacted his performance?

Wasn’t he much better in the 2’s when he was unleashed?

Not sure what he was focussing on, didnt seem to have a run with role and couldnt even catch that flog JHF. He only kicked a goal cause Ryan gave it to him for no real reason. He was better in the 2s but it was mostly wafl top-ups and nobodies so he should have been? To not be named even in the emergencies this week, i hope he's being managed but with the number of guys we have fighting for a spot, and there seemingly being a very limited number of spots on offer for those without credits, not playing cant be ideal.

Surely he's just being managed, no way he's fallen behind Ginbey, Hewitt, Clark and more. From all reports, he's had a very big pre-season, has participated in everything so far, maybe just cooling off for a week.

So in a preseason game where the players were trying to dust off the cobwebs the coach benched a player for underperforming, then told him he's so shit that he's gonna sit there and play in the 2s later.

I assume coz Gov and Hurn left the field and showered up before halftime and didn't even play the second game they've been delisted for being shit also?

You would think the decision on Culley playing the first two quarters last week and then the last game was made prior to the actual games. Players were being managed and on specific minutes etc and you would think most of this would be worked out prior to the games, barring injuries etc.

No idea why he isn't named this week. It could be being rested or he has had a big pre-season and they want minutes into other underdone players, personal reasons, illness. Maybe they don't see him as a lock for round 1 so simply isn't picked. But it's highly unlikely because he "under-performed" in two quarters of a pre-season warm-up game when all players were dusting off the cobwebs.

I was just saying he was struggling, cobwebs or not, and it was a very strange way to manage someone by making them miss half the main game then come back on and play against 2nd rate players to make him feel better and get a few touches. What does that achieve. I would have thought if you're managing someone who you were happy with how he was tracking, they would have just done exactly what they they did with Gov and Hurn and rested him after half time, so he could have a bigger hitout this week, but he's not even named.

Which do you think is more likely?

A: Player was benched in a preseason game for underperforming and the coach was so upset by their mediocrity (at worst) that they made them sit there and wait for the next game to teach them a lesson.

Or

B: Every player on the ground had a managed minutes plan - including players like Waterman and Hewett - and some of them went on to play the second game.

I heard he's already asked for a trade back to Charcoal Chicken (notice he looks east and clucks occasionally while on the field) so the coaches are reluctant to waste much game time on him.

We should bundle him up in a trade with Bailey Williams (before we waste anymore time and resources on him) for a family feast to tide Gov over between breakfast and brunch.
