managed to sneak down to training again, so just a couple things

-allen spent most the session working with hewett. you can tell the club really rates his leadership
-chesser, bazzo, foley, yeo, waterman spent most the session running
-no nic
-gov looks very thin and fit. if he can stay injury free should have a ripper year
-darling moving very well- move to the midfield imminent?
-gaff looks to have slimmed down, can't imagine seeing him have much time on the inside this year
-someone i didn't recognise

I actually hope he is resting and recovering.

He was clearly hampered by some sort of injury last season, and played through it to the detriment of all parties.

Of all of our list, I'm confident he can get himself fit off a more limited pre-season, but if he is hampered ongoing then it doesn't matter how many pre-season miles he has done.
im not, i think the game has changed and he cant change with it.

Interesting Colin Young (player manager) said on Schoeys podcast that he watched WCE train last season and he has never seen a team more banged up and struggling. The combo of Covid and injuries left us in a position we couldn't return from, and guys like Yeo who are proud competitors wanted to play underdone.

If our game plan clicks and we get on top of our S&C it's not inconceivable that we have a bit of a dead cat bounce.

Never knew he worked at WC and Freo too!

Was a good episode.

Wouldnt that mean we stayed at the bottom? Dead cats don’t exactly bounce very high. 😂

Jamo on Darling in a drill there. Interesante

Would have liked to see more of Gaffy and get a picture of how he is covering the ground.

I like this - reckon his place in the side is as a ruck/KPD (always surprised there isn't more of them). Should his form be good this'd allow us to not have to play McGovern, Barrass and Edwards at once, and also crucially add a rotation for us to use on smalls (NN will always have 60% game time from now on but it hurt us that Williams/Jamieson also had such low TOG when they partnered him - meant a whole slot was basically being used on 2 players).

Also gives us versatility should a key back or forward be injured/we decide to not load up in that area - if there's lower KPD numbers Jamo plays, lower KPFs Williams plays.

Get both of those guys fit and able to run out almost the entirety of the game with rests in the 50 arcs rather than on the bench and it'll go a long way to maximising NN's advantages/making us a better side IMO

More a draft pod but pretty generic info about Doogs clients. but at around 16 min mark starts talking about the guys already at WC including Bazzo and Williams.

And also....

Clark's trimmed down a bit to play a bit more of that wing role

Oh No Mood GIF by Saturday Night Live

Yikes this is so gross. I honestly rather see Chesser/Hunt/Hough play that role. I like Clark but rather him playing at the Beagles than playing wing in the seniors
