Was around this time last season when Cox had a ‘minor calf injury’ which ended up being a fracture and had him out for two months then coming back underdone and missing two thirds of the year…

We've already had a scare with a broken leg before Christmas that turned out to just be a cork.

Surely, there's gotta be a way to minimise this kind of stuff.

How many players do we lose on average every pre season with injury?

I'm going to stay positive, but yeah it does feel like one of those times the club tries to tell us the player is fine, shoves them out on the field round 1 and 16 rounds later, after a pretty lackluster season performance, we find out they've been carrying that injury all year.

Grinds my gears.

Calf injuries are the worst. Fingers crossed.

Listening to a footy podcast this week that said this is the stage of the preseason where injuries happen.

Heaviest load of the year in terms of running, as well as all the match sim etc. The idea that it's essential conditioning for the year ahead, but as a result of pushing the squad so hard there are destined to be a couple of things pop up and you just pray there's nothing major to any key players.

Back off the load and you risk being behind the 8 ball compared to the rest of the comp, overdo it and you have players breaking down before the season even starts.

The irony of someone who sits on the internet all day scrolling through bigfooty complaining about their life passing them by.
I'm not sure if you're actually having a crack at me or a joke? I average about 3 posts/day over my time here, you're going about 8/day so its a bit pot, kettle, black.

Think I saw a clip of Dave Grohl the other day saying he thought Sepultura was the greatest metal band he'd ever heard.
