Not ideal for who? Who gives a * if the goat isn’t on a three day camp in Buttfuk nowhere making sand castles and rowing boats. The guy literally can do whatever he wants.
Yeah na, hard disagree on that one
It may seem trivial but it’s the type of shit that gels the entire team and football department together

Have a read of Conrad’s book about our 2017 flag and how important the pre season was in terms of galvanising the group

If he has a legitimate reason not to go, fair enough but to say he can do what he wants is a total cop out and the type arrogant behaviour that would put devisions in the playing group that can cause big problems on and off the field

Agree it's important but there's no way he just couldn't be bothered going. I'm sure there's a legit reason as you said.

I 100% agree, in my mind I don't give a crap how good Dusty is at the end of the day it's about team bonding and earning the respect of the group. We have a bunch of new guys at the club who are in awe of Dusty, how do you think they would feel if the is just can't be stuffed going. I hope I'm wrong but if his arrogance affords him a pass then I would rather see him go.

Pretty sure in one pic Dusty is wrestling.

Nonsense pal.

Yeah read it.

Him being or not being on camp means absolutely FA. Blokes done his dues. We’re lucky he’s even playing this year.

If the great man wants to stay home and train rather then build sandcastles then that isn’t an issue.

They weren't human remains. That's an exaggeration. He collects souls. Taylor Walker's was still in the boot after the 2017 Grand Final.....
Would make an interesting thread - "Name the souls taken by Dusty and kept in the boot of his Range Rover" lol

Tom Stewart - 9th Sept 17 Qual Final outer wing MCG (I think I have the right match) Tom fumbles under Dusty pressure then Dusty performs a patented Don't Argue, spins on a dime and runs away making poor old Tom look silly and leading to an awesome goal.

100% it’s an issue, as others have mentioned it’s not just about Dusty it’s about the entire team
Especially given the transition period our list is currently in
As Sir_Rancelot mentioned we have a lot of young players who would idolise Dusty and what he does as an individual matters in regards to setting standards and expectations and if people sense that someone isn’t putting in the work it creates animosity and division

If the players aren’t playing for each other and only playing for themselves it will be a long time before we see any success again

Have to agree with you BC.

Don’t know if he’s there or not but under Benny and Peggy’s watch the club has always been accepting of individual players different circumstances. If he’s not there, then there’ll be a genuine reason for it.

We’ve seen Marlion given extra time off over the years for family reasons and sure there’s plenty of other examples.

The club manages all that very well imo, and I reckon players all buy in on it
