Pre-Season Draft

As there were only 6 passes in the National Draft, am I correct in saying only those 6 clubs will have a Pre-Season Draft pick?

The order would be --

1/- MELBOURNE
2/- PORT ADELAIDE
3/- ESSENDON
4/- CARLTON
5/- BRISBANE
6/- RICHMOND

I believe there is another list lodgment to happen, some players can still be delisted, is this correct?

Yeah that's the six picks but I don't think that's the order.

Could be wrong though.

I think Cousins is gone now...unless the Lions statement on friday night about not taking him in the PSD was just a lie to fool everybody.

Melb won't draft him because they're clearly going for a youth policy, Port will take Josh Carr or one of the other 10 billion 'permission to train' list players they've had for the last few weeks, Essendon's going young too, Carlton's taking Chris Johnson, and Bris said they won't draft him.

Richmond I'm not sure about...might be his only chance there.

I'm very confident that Josh Carr will be taken by Port.

Richmond could do a whole lot worse than taking Cousins

1/- MELBOURNE
2/- PORT ADELAIDE - Josh Carr
3/- ESSENDON
4/- CARLTON - Chris Johnson
5/- BRISBANE
6/- RICHMOND

Those two are a given. Richmond may pick up one of their other trainees and Brisbane the same. Essendon will probably take a junior again (like last year) and Melbourne the same unless they can find some other player to help bring some experience to the side.

Sounds correct.

As for Benny, see ya later, enjoyed how you played, enjoy retirement.

My guess is something like this

1/- MELBOURNE - Tom Hill
2/- PORT ADELAIDE - Josh Carr
3/- ESSENDON - Casey Sibosado
4/- CARLTON - Chris Johnson
5/- BRISBANE - Nick Davis
6/- RICHMOND - Adam Cockshell

My guess is something like this

1/- MELBOURNE - Tom Hill
2/- PORT ADELAIDE - Josh Carr
3/- ESSENDON - Casey Sibosado
4/- CARLTON - Chris Johnson
5/- BRISBANE - Nick Davis
6/- RICHMOND - Adam Cockshell

I reckon Melbourne or Essendon will go with one of the mature age WA players still left around. Tbh

i think Tom Hill being bottom aged is ineligible for the PSD & Rookie drafts

Sorry, my mistake

In that case I'll guess the following

1/- MELBOURNE - Greg Bentley
2/- PORT ADELAIDE - Josh Carr
3/- ESSENDON - Casey Sibosado
4/- CARLTON - Chris Johnson
5/- BRISBANE - Nick Davis
6/- RICHMOND - Adam Cockshell

Its a shame because honestly if you had your choice between carr and cousins.. I think his choices are richmond and Port, there have been a few times where players have been told they will be selected but come draft day dont get the call up this could be the case with carr. It will be a big shame if Cousins does not end up with a club.

I don't think Richmond will take Cochshell in the PSD. We might rookie him.

I'd say DeBoer, Varcoe, Sibosado and Rockliff would be the big chances at Richmond.

i dont understand why would a club take a junior in the psd, when they just overlooked them in the ND. why would essendon pass in the ND when sibsado is available at their pick then proceed to take him in the PDS.... what incetive is there for anyone to do this???

To have a few players train with your club before making a decision.

Who are the "unlucky" talls besides Sibasado to have missed out on the National Draft? I'd say Melbourne would be after them, especially if they're a defender.
